read the reviews about this map and decided to go for it anyway, We are planning a trip to Wyoming, Idaho and Montana and I just wanted something suitable to plan our route and all the stops we wanted to map I understood that this wasnt going to be the road map we actually travelled with due to size and detail but Im really surprised by the lack of detail even just for the planning phase! Most of the places Id picked out to visit arent even listed when they absolutely should be! For this reason I wouldnt recommend.
Otherwise the size and packaging and general appearance is really nice,.shipping If you want a map to help you get from A to B across the USA, this is perfect.
Does it have every road No, but to spread out on the table and plot the whole of Rtefor example it is really what you need.
Add in the National Parks and what looks like pretty rip proof paper/material, then its is brilliant.
Fab value for money. If you are planning or just dreaming of going somewhere, I can't recommend it enough, Note. It's a paper type map in a cardboard

slip cover, A bit disappointed with this, Its a very basic map of the USA not suitable for planning a road trip as its only showing the major highways comes with some cute stickers but really the map is a waste of time.
Better to buy a proper road map in my opinion, It's an ok size, don't use it for any kind of serious route plotting, As they said it was a planning map I thought it'd be larger it's tough to record anything or have a decent level of detail.
However it does come with some stickers which is a nice touch, unfortunately if you use them you'll cover an entire town.
If you just want to go to the USA this map is perfect for planning purposes, It gas the right amount of detail and is a good size to put on a table and work out where you want to go.
But only if you dont want to pop over the border into Canada! I bought this for a trip to the northern states crossing the border but the Canadian part of the map is completely blank! How stupid is that Well, it turns out its not that stupid as I also had to buy the Canadian map as well.
Well played Lonely Planet.
