'' Skinny Bitch" requires one to use the censor button, one time too many.

Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouins New York Times Bestselling tarttongued odes to healthy eating and veganism Skinny Bitch and Skinny Bitch in the Kitch are now available together for the first time in hardcover, exclusively packaged in a deluxe slipcased box set.

I appreciate the fact that these girls really believe they are doing a service to the world by packaging their vegan mission as a way to "stop eating crap and start looking fabulous!" I think, however, that the whole premise should be handled honestly from the

get go.
There is very little emphasis on being healthy as a lifestyle, and lots of guilt laden snarkiness for those individuals who choose not to live a vegan lifestyle.
Do I think there is some good information in here Absolutely, as a vegetarian myself, I agree with many of their arguments.
I do not, however, believe that this is the right way to do it, Now I remember why I was a vegetarian, Yikes. Is it likely that I will become one again Yes, I will attempt to go vegan, but I doubt I'll be able to do it I do love me some eggs and yogurt.
And there's no way in hell I'm giving up blue crabs,

Will my husband be able to handle this No, So there is going to be a pretty divided household, I think we'll manage, we somehow always do,

Not really a diet book, but a good idea for those trying to lose weight I guess.
Its more about living a healthy lifestyle than losing weight, I always knew eating too much protein was bad for diabetes despite all the "evidence" to the contrary just proves I should listen to myself more often.

The cookbook is useful, but I think I'd have been better served to just buy one of the ones recommended in the back of Skinny Bitch.
I found the book a lot more offensive than I expected to, Maybe because it was audio rather than read, but I felt as if I was being yelled at, insulted, and berated.
By a bitch. No one I would want in my life, I didn't get far in this book, Not motivating, but angering. Skinny Bitch was one hell of a good read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, It was an eye opening experience and it helped to expose how corrupt the food industry really is, Not that I needed it but this book reinforced my commitment to Veganism and makes me prouder than ever to be apart of this lifestyle.
I appreciated the authors' humor which had me bursting with laughter! The foul language just helped to drive their points home.
Kudos to the authors. Changed my LIFE!!! scary but i am loving it,
very eye opening to the fda usda and all the polital sex between them! I'm curious, We'll see
Well made it through one disc, The reader was good. But after being harangued one two many times I just hit eject and am done with it, Someone else can get skinny with them, Not me. Just too much of a guilt trip, funny! it's the kind of book you'd love to recommended but you just know that they'd be offended, Like a lot of selfhelp books there is some really great commonsense stuff inside, But this book was funny and informative in such a way that you don't need to lose weight in order for it to be of use.
Read it, cringe, glance at your neighbor, and rush to the bathroom so you don't piss yourself, that some people are more acerbic than I am Now, I understand what somone recently was talking about when they said Corn Syrup was bad.
I am on theth Chapter and this is not a book of fluff, I already know I will never drink another Diet Soda!

Rory Freedman was not always a vegan, or vegetarian, Growing up she ate meat every day, Her passion for becoming vegetarian and vegan developed aboutyears ago, Her passion developed due to reading an article about animals being slaughtered for food, She always saw herself as an animal lover and she was disgusted by what she saw in the article.
One image was of baby chickens crammed into a garbage bag and thrown into a dumpster, The next picture she sees is a picture of a mother cow and a baby cow, The baby was taken away from the mother, and being upset that she baby was taken away from her, she started to ram the cage and broke her neck.
The mother cow was left there to lay and die with a broken neck, The other picture she saw was of a downer cow, an injured cow, on the back of a truck being unloaded by a chain wrapped around the cows legs.
She was devastated to know that animals were being treated this way due to her eating meat, After reading this article in the magazine, she made the decision to become vegetarian, She did not want to contribute to the torture and slaughter of animals, The sole reason she became a vegetarian was so that she did not have to be part of the pictures that she saw.
Since she became vegetarian, she was now interested in doing research on nutrition, People always said that vegetarians lack protein and other things that your body needs, so therefore she conducted research and found that these statements and assumptions are not true.
Rory found out that by becoming vegetarian, you do not lack protein, and that most Americans actually have too much protein in their diets.
Becoming a vegetarian had a total change on Rory, She felt as though she became nicer, happy, had energy, and overall a better person, She became an animal rights activist due to her passion for animals, After making these changes, she felt as though she had a purpose in life, Rory encourages people to try aday Veg Pledge, This is trying to be vegetarian fordays to just try to and see if you like the changes that your body will go through.
