This is low key a therapy, This manga series is about a recently homeless man named Nakoshi, who lives in his car.
Ito, a young medical student, offers to pay him to be the subject of an experimental surgical procedure called trepanation.
This means drilling a hole into his skull in the hope it will activate his sixth sense.
Which, it does.

This is thend volume, In this volume, we take a look at how this power can be used for good.
Nakoshi plays amateur therapist to an aggressive yakuza boss after accidentally spilling coffee on him, He's able to get the yakuza boss to open up to his internalized childhood guilt, and accept those feelings so he can move on with his life.
Holy fuck, was listening to won't do by j dilla whilst reading this n i fully had an out of body experience, this shit is fucking crazy, when manga is so fucking detailed it looks like real life, the stories it can tell feel so much closer to reality Curtindo bastante a história, apesar de ainda não ter como saber pra onde ela vai.

Damn Susumu è deciso a comprendere il significato delle grottesche visioni che lo perseguitano quando chiude il proprio occhio destro, e per farlo sceglie di rincontrare il pericoloso yakuza col quale aveva avuto quel così bizzarro incontro.
Anche lo yakuza, scosso dal contatto con Susumu, è in cerca di lui, e i due non tardano a trovarsi.
Procedendo per goffi tentativi, Susumu scoprirà che la Trapanazione lo ha reso in grado di vedere l'essenza di certe persone forse, addirittura, la loro anima, ma la cosa più strabiliante è che il giovane riuscirà persino a interagire fisicamente con lo spirito dello strano delinquente, fino a lenirgli il dolore che lo perseguita.
Wow. Holy shit have I stumbled onto a masterpiece This volume was amazing, From the art to the philosophical implications to the whole story here, just WOW, It's not astar because this does feel like a diversion and I wanna know more about the main plot but otherwise what a fantastic B story.
I especially loved the dick head and the ending, SO SO beautiful. Hmm. Movie fleshed out the story of the yakuza dude better,

Oh my gosh. How do I even put what's running through my mind into words Like another reviewer said, this volume definitely set the series' dark tone in stone.
I'm assuming that we're going to be learning about many other character's background stories similarly to learning the boss's in this volume.
I'm almost thinking that how our beloved main character sees others is also based off of his own dark self, and not just the troubles of others.
Some changes are definitely occuring within him, and I'm not sure if we're just finding out how he is now, or if seeing the Homunculi is bringing out a new and slightly terrifying insensitive him.

An amazing read that doesn't take too long, While the storyline is captivating and yet dark, the art is a whole thing in itself.
Not quite "beautiful" in a sense, but surprisingly detailed and fitting to the story,
Surprisingly dope this is so so good but i'm still waiting for the story to really kick off This is seriously creepy.
I've got the chills reading this, But, I dunno man, I'm really enjoying this and I need more answers to be enlightened.

Also, theory time, So, homunculus is synonymous with a little man or small human

After reading this volume, I think I'm kind of seeing this series from a new light and deeper perspective.
At first, I thought it was about human nature in general how people carried deep scars within them that make them who they are, hence the creepy creatures they appear to be in Nakoshi's enhanced sight.
. . But you can't change my mind lol, this is still a funny stuff to me: that guy with a penis on his head is a dickhead lol.


But no, since only half of the population suffer this phenomenon in Nakoshi's eyes.
It can be that these chosen few had experienced something similar to Nakoshi like the yakuza guy in the past that made them distinct in his eyes.
It was this little man in them that makes up Nakoshi as a whole, So the question is, who is Nakoshiaside from being an unconventional citizen who decided to stay between the line that separates two classes of people Afterall, Nakoshi's appeance is so vague, as if he's lost himself.

Homunculus is a wonderful manga, As it turns out, it seems like Nakoshi will spend the bulk of this volume playing amateur therapist.
The strange apparitions, odd versions of people, that he sees are manifestations of unconscious anxieties or traumas.


The Yakuza boss from the first volume reveals that his tendency to cut off pinky fingers is the constant playing out of unconscious guilt.
The cutting off of another's pinky is a fantasmatic substitution for the psychic cutting off of his own pinky.
The reason is, of course, internalized childhood guilt, The Yakuza boss accidentally cut off the pinky of a close friend of his as a child.


Another interesting tidbit is Ito

appears to Nakoshi as nothing at all, He is completely invisible. Perhaps that anxiety about being invisible accounts for his flamboyant dress, It also connects to a broader concern about pride and the anonymity of salary work, The genuine connections produced by Nakoshi's ability to see peoples' unconscious laid bare is the antithesis to the image of urban office work and the isolation it produces.
Nakoshi's first foray into sociality was comradery with other homeless men, Now, his occult ability makes him psychically intimate with many of the people he passes on the street.
This is the first time I've become this attached to a manga! I first started reading this as it was in the horror list and I love anything scary.
But it's more than that, Some parts are, yes, disturbing, But somehow I keep reading because it's very interesting, Can't wait to read the rest of the volumes! A huge improvement over the first volume.
The protagonist has unlocked the ability to see the darkest memories and emotions of other people and helps them confront the darkness of their past.

Manabu Ito, lo studente di medicina che gli ha fatto un buco nel cranio per vedere se accadeva qualcosa, è un ragazzo strano e cerca di capire cosa accade a Susumu.
In realtà, il protagonista capirà da solo come usare questo "potere" andando a discutere con un mafioso giapponese famoso per tagliare mignoli.
Questa parte non mi è piaciuto molto, non per la scoperta di come usare questo "potere" ma perché nella trama assurda.
. . trovo assurdo che un mafioso si lasci toccare in quel modo da un senzatetto,
Comunque in generale è una storia davvero strana,

Really strange and absurd plot, I liked it and at the same time I didn't,
Susumu Nakoshi sees the Homunculus by closing one eye, so he sees the "reality" of the people, the subconscious of the people and this is particular.
Manabu Ito, the medical student who has made a hole in his skull, is a strange boy and tries to understand what happens to Susumu.
In reality, the protagonist will discover for himself how to use this "power" by going to fight with a Japanese mobster famous for cutting his little fingers.
I didn't like this part very much, not because of the discovery of how to use this "power" but because in the absurd plot.
. . I find it absurd that a mobster lets himself be touched in that way by a homeless man.

However in general it is a really strange story,
Our reality is an illusion, holy shit i rly like how this is going so far/Well, obviously this volume is better than the first volume if you consider the number of occurrences and circumstances usually, the first volume wasit always is just the inception of a dark and psychological journey into the various aspects of humanity, the human mind and what they envelope.

Mr. Nakoshi has received some weird consequences, unlike anything ever seen or recorded in medical histories,

And I'm more curious now about our protagonist his past, and why did he accept such a proposal from a random guy, who's the second person I'm curious about the most in the series.

And this guy looks altogether different when you look from Mr, Nakoshi's point of view

The next volume will probably explain the consequences of the surgery, and how it relates to a human being seen from that point of view.

Tomo superintenso en el que Nakoshi ayuda al Yakuza a encontrar a su verdadero Yo y a afrontar sus problemas pasados y psicológicos a la vez que conocemos un poco más del pasado de nuestro protagonista, que curiosamente comparte sentimientos de remordimiento con el Yakuza, es decir sus historias son similares.


Me ha gustado como el autor ha llevado la narración gráfica del Yakuza a la vez que Nakoshi contaba su historia, como eran historias y recuerdos muy similares ha encajado todo a la perfección y era una narrativa muy fluida e intensa!
Genial, me he leído el tomo en cuestión de minutos!

Es curioso que todos seamos de la forma en la que somos y vivimos por meras causas y consecuencias de nuestro Yo pasado.
