I wish it hadn't just been Sister dictating the trip, It would have been so easy to have Sister say "Yeah, we can do Pirates, but let's do this first!" and then have Brother say it the next time, and then Honey, and Mama, etc.
As written, it just made it seem like Sister was being bossy,
Also, I was really worried that something would happen, like Papa falling asleep when they finally got to go on the Pirate ride, Pleasantly surprised. The books in the past have often had some message, and if this was going to treat Grizzlyland or the park it kind of sounds like like junk food, I was going to be really irritated.
Instead, they just have fun, The little issues that arise are familiar, but mainly it is just a family of bears having fun, much like families of humans do, The class loved the story, It is a good story to relate to their own experiences if they have been to Disney, SM It's amazing that Papa Bear could eat lunch after being on the spinning teacup ride, Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents, Stan and Jan, working together to write and draw these lovable bears, Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too, Mike is married to Andrea and they have three children, They live in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks a lot like Bear Country, Mikes earliest memory is of his parents studio in suburban Philadelphia, He remembers sitting on the floor scribbling on yellow typewriter paper with a big black pencil, His mother looked at the tangled hairball he had created, pointed out some random shape and said, Look!
