on Seduction of Dynasty (Seduction, #2)

won't be long in my review, . . as I don't need too, . . :

"A fast paced and intense story where two different social worlds collide in a vortex full of love, hatred, intrigues and passion.
Emma Calin has done it again, A book hard to put down before its end, "

I'm the author of this book so here's the blurb as I can't really write a review for it.

Shannon's Law The action romance novel of.

In FleetworthGreen she encounters signs of people and drug trafficking and homes in on serious millionaire criminals.

Their social differences mean nothing to their passion and need, Already in the mix is an upper class female rival who has long plotted her way into the Earl's bed.
The jealousy is an evil shade of green and the anger is a violent scarlet,

Often inhibited by a sense of duty and honour, Spencer is slow to reveal his feelings.
When Shannon confronts him with the need to choose between her word and that of her rival, he does not immediately support her.

All the same, when they are forced together to carry out a desperate rescue mission, their love is stronger than everything ranged against them.

NB. Story has Adult content: strong language in high stress police situations and explicit bedroom scenes,
Shannon Aguerri is a tough inner city copy who has been transferred to a local village and is now the village bobby.
Shannon is unlike anything the villagers have ever seen and unsure of what to think of her at first, she soon becomes a part of village life.
Yes, some of her methods are unconventional and she might be a bit gobby, but Shannon soon falls into her role.
. . and into the arms of an Earl! A very sexy Earl! And she falls hard, Throw into the mix a dead girl, drugs and possibly human trafficking AND a rival for the Earl's affections, and Shannon soon begins to wonder if she is out of her depth.

Shannon's law is fast paced from start to finish, Shannon is a strong willed female character and takes no nonsense from anyone, She is tough but fair and I liked that side of her, We get to see her vulnerable side where the Earl is concerned and she is unsure of her place in his world.
At the heart of the book is a love story between two very different people who society would not expect to be together.
There are some very very racy sex scenes in the book which are quite explicit and had me heading for a cold shower! An enjoyable read.
I was given a copy of this book from the author via voracious readers for an honest review.

I enjoyed the book, The writing had a wonderful blend of cheek, and sassy dialogue sappy romantic love phrases and very descriptive love scenes.
With any romance, there has to be an actual, semi intelligent story for it be enjoyable, The author delivers on this account, The heroine also does not give up here career when she marries the hero and he isnt an entitled rich aristocratic ass.
I thoroughly enjoyed the verbal cat fight between the villain and the heroine, Epic insults. One the end, love conquers all, at least in this book, Shannon Aguerri is sent to the small village outside of London, On her first day she catches the Earls son and some of his friends drinking and riding a scooter she suspects doesnt belong to them.
Shannon takes the Earls son back to the manor and meets the very handsome and eligible Earl.
Shannon immediately finds herself attracted to the overalls wearing Earl named Spencer, But, Spencers complex relationship with his deceased wifes friend, While Shannon continues to police the small village she begins to discover that the village is hiding an underworld kind of crime that youd find in the city.
Along with her investigation into the crime she and Spencers relationship develops quickly and before they both know the new police woman has fallen for the widowed Earl.
But, when things move quickly obstacles and trust arent always solved at the same time as love develops.
When Shannons job and her relationship intersect in an unfriendly way they must learn to work together or to let each other go.

I really enjoyed this novel, Shannon is feisty and has an answer for everything, Spencer is her perfect foil in being a posh stuffy English Earl, The love story between these two is very much a modern day fairy tale, The crime element in this story is well done also, The two components of this story are very well woven together and very believable, In fact any woman would be jealous of Shannon finding her happiness with Spencer, I do think though that an American reading this story will have a bit of a challenge with Shannons English slang.
You get used to it but at first I thought her slang and retorts for everything were going to be too much for this story.
But, like all good characters she changes with the story and definitely becomes one of the best parts of this story.
Her comedic element is great when some of the criminal element gets heavy, Overall, I think this is a really worthwhile read and will suck you in once you get used to the slang and the culture.
Emma Calin really did a great job with Shannons Law, I look forward to reading something else from Emma, this was a fun steamy book to read, it had mystery, love, jealousy, blackmail, All the elements to make a great book and series,

Shannon is a vivacious and quite honest women with no filter, She ends up in a English town as there constable and immediately falls for Spencer, Spencer is a Earl and way above her status, Or so she thinks. that is until she spends time with him and realizes he is just a guy asking a girl to like him.
They have instant attraction and he is so sweet and kind, He is proper to but when they get together boy do the windows steam up, One problem: Jasmine. She brings out the green eyed monster in Shannon but also Spencer trusts her not because of anything but they have known each other for ever.
Jasmine wants Spencers title and will stop at nothing to marry him, Heck she blackmails the son Ben, Shannon steps in and that is a story of whoa and opens Spencers eyes,

In the meantime, a drug issue is going on and a murder, Shannon is trying not to go on intuition alone but it does help her in this case.

A story of adventure and love, showing where love is unwavering and supporting, Where kindness and trust are what one needs to feel safe, A fun adventurous and at times steamy read, WPC Shannon Aguerri is a mixed race city girl whose gung ho attitude and smart mouth has resulted in a posting to a little country village.
She is also a very good copper, Her new posting will bring her a lot more excitement than she could possibly expect,
Widower Spencer Chamberlain Knightsmith, the Earl of Bloxington owns most of the land surrounding the village.
His teenage son is a good lad who might be making the wrong friends,
We have a lot of normal minor crimes that you will find in any country village, but there are also some very bad

people about.

This is a funny and sexy romance and an exciting and dangerous police procedure story, Our heroine is a very brave and brash young woman with a strong sense of justice and a great sense of humour.
Our hero is older, upper class and sexy, He is also not afraid to get down and dirty when it's needed,
A fun Cinderella type story, I loved it. A sexy aristocrat. A wild child inner city cop, A crime wave of passion,

The second book in the "Seductionl" series featuring hot cops, hot crime and hot romance.
Following the success of "Seduction of Combat", "Seduction of Dynasty", features another sassy, passionate female cop Shannon Aguerri.

This book was a mixed bag, and yet at the end I was charmed, Some of the description was so cringeworthy, I was flinching and felt embarrassed by just having read it.
But other parts were really sweet, Some of the internal musings from the heroine were quite poignant, and some of it didnt make sense.
I married a Brit and lived in the UK foryears and go back all the time, and even then some of the dialogue was hard to follow.
. . possibly because British humour and sarcasm is very specific, However, the plot was good, . . and the romance was good and the characters were good, Like I said above, I left the book feeling charmed, It was also a very well written ending where everything was tied up and there were no questions left unanswered.
So, despite some speed bumps, I am interested in reading the rest of the series, P. S. There was definitely a J, D. Robbs In Death feel about the book, . . the British contemporary version. Oh what fun Shannon is, Strong, smart, snarky, willful, disrespectful, sexy, loyal a delightful jumble of characteristics that make following her adventures a blast.
Set near London, with an interlude in Venice, there were a few references and slang terms I didn't fully appreciate, but they didn't detract from the story.
I might have gonestars, but the ending got a bit sappy,

I also appreciated that Shannon didn't have "super cop" abilities, She was good at what she did, and left the rest to the specialists, The secondary characters were well defined, and played key roles in advancing the plot,

The sex could have been a bit hotter, and more frequent, but the story was great.
