Dive Into The Wild Road To Key West (The Road To Key West Book 8) Depicted By Michael Reisig Formatted As Brochure
a beta reader for Michael Reisig, I have the good fortune of reading his work before many others.
This book, "The Wild Road to Key West" is a terrific pageturner that will be a great addition to the "Key West" series.
Will and Kansas are back once again on the road to fortune, excitement, thrills, danger, and interactions with all kinds of great characters.
Reisig does a great job fleshing out new characters in this series, but he might have outdone himself in this book.
Joining the boys are semiregulars, Cody and Crazy Eddie, a great dog named Shadow, the quirky daredevil, Arturio, and a hardtodescribe castaway named Slinka.
Some outstanding "baddies" are also part of the show led by Venezuelan crime boss, Santiago Talla and the sultry, Passi.
Incredible wealth lay at their fingertips, but can our boys and Shadow outwit and outmaneuver Santiago and his gangsters and make it back to Key West in one piece
The premise of the book fits perfectly with the tone of the earlier stories with a comfort level that matches your favorite shoes.
And, while it's not absolutely necessary to have read the earlier books in the series to enjoy this novel, it could help new readers with some of the backstories.
Reisig's fans will once be pleased and those unfamiliar with his books may find a new favorite writer.
VENEZUELAN ADVENTURE
Michael Reisig has written yet another intriguing, sit on the edge of your seat adventure with The Hole in the Coral Wall Gang.
A new member has been added to the gang, Arturio, an interesting Venezuelan we first meet in a crude Venezuelan village on the outskirts of the deepest, most inhospitable jungle.
Arturio is a survivor of numerous games of Russian Roulette,
As per the gangs numerous adventures, this also involves gold, emeralds, diamonds, and hard to find jungle caves.
This was a book that when I did put it down, I couldnt stop thinking about it, the characters, and the adventure.
The Wild Road to Key West, The Cave of the Stars is the eighth of the Key West series and finds the Hole in the Coral Wall Gang scrambling once again to duck in and out of the richly detailed jungles of South America.
This one begins with Kansas Stamps and Will Bell rescuing an old friend, Captain O'Neal, out of the Venezuelan jungles from
the powerful gemmining warlord Santiago Talla.
Arturio, who is given to unhealthy games of Russian Roulette, knows the area and becomes their guide.
They discover a cave with creative pictographs of the, earth, and inhabitants, But how could an ancient culture in that area of Venezuela have possibly been able to plot the celestial heavens
Kansas and Will extricate their friend.
However, they realize they've created a very dangerous enemy in Talla and must go back, The boys are introduced to the "lady witch," Passi, who seems to have the scoop on lost and hidden cities full of treasures.
And Slinkan, almost lost to the jungle, knows about those artifactsbut he's not telling, From Passi, to Arturio, to Santiago Talla, to Slinkan, the characters are fleshed so fully you feel the disgust or fear each generates.
Woven into the tale is a homeless dog that Kansas has befriended they name Shadow, He emotes a sympathetic yet powerful character of his own,
Reisig's stories are full of heartstopping action and audible gasps with immensely sympathetic characters or antagonists so rabidly bad you're relieved when they are neutralized.
This may be Reisig's best yet, though I've loved each and every one, I was given an ARC download by the author for an honest review, was delighted to read, and received no compensation.
Heartily recommended to all those who love nonstop action, adventure, thrillers, or hinted scifi, You don't want to miss this one! Good adventure !
Usual romp of mayhem for Kansas, Will and the Hole in the Coral Wall Gang.
Don't miss it join the gang now!
Another Fun Ride
I so enjoy these Key West meets Indiana Jones stories.
Lots of worry, shock, and surprises in this one, Go read them all. Off the charts!
The series just keeps getting better, I laughed, cried, and couldn't put the book down, Well my kindle. Good characters good research and believable dialogue keeps the plot moving, Mr. Reisig has never harshed my mellow in any of his yarns,
Once again, The Hole In The Coral Wall Gang is wrapped in a wild adventure from South Florida to South America, and back again.
In the process of rescuing an old friend from a ruthless Venezuelan gemmining boss, they discover a unique historical revelation regarding the, the earth, and the people in between.
But thats just where the tale begins
Diamonds and emeralds, a lost city infused by a treasure and an ancient race, a secret cave with a timeless message, ruthless bandits, jungle Indians, and nefarious cowboys are all part of this nonstop roller coaster ride.
Did I mention the gangs new guide, Arturio a Venezuelan outback opportunist who has a mild obsession with Russian Roulette Or Passi, the lustful jungle witch who just cant make up her mind
The pages are waiting to be turned The Lone Ranger and Tonto meet Black Bart.
Kansas and Will end up in South America search for a lost city, When they find it this is not a spoiler, because you know, if they are looking for it, they will find it, They need to figure out how to keep the crazed mining king not really Black Bart, but it goes with the cowboy theme, who has his place decked out like a's western, finds it and destroys all the cultural heritage.
