The details and review have been very helpful and I can use this for more refreshing, This is NOT a great reference book if you want a resource for specific drug information, Which is something that apparently bugs the crap out of a lot of people who just want to focus on drugs and their specific information.
If you want a reference, go buy Davis,

What this book actually does a fairly decent job with is relating the general categories of drug information to the nursing process.
Which, let's face it, is much more relevant than a book full of just numbers and letters, because that doesn't teach you how to think and relate those numbers to anything.
Information by itself is useless without connections, and this book knows it, Which makes it a great tool for learning and connecting dots, and not so much a great reference.
Boring but it does have a lot of helpful information, It's just so hard to know what all is important and what isn't Clearlypresented, Now I just have to remember it, Common side effects of sulfonylureas, . . um Weight gain Hypoglycemia Time to doublecheck, Horrible layout! Our nursing program tried this one for one year and they're now switching, Wish they wouldn't have even tried this one, Great reference resource for helping to understand pharmacology drug classes and how to relate this information to nursing scope of practice.


This text led me to another of hers that is more specific to the Canadian nursing context TGIF.
