is due for retirement from her fairy godmother gig, but she agrees to take one last case, Helping Roark Turner find his perfect girl shouldn't be much of a challengeafter all, she is a veteran fairy godmother, What makes this case interesting She must use as little magic as possible to bring Roark his muchdesired Happily Ever After, Roark's perfect match is his best friend Stephanie Bowers, It should be simple to bring two people together who have been best friends since kindergarten, and let their free will take its course, It probably would have been, too, if Cupid hadn't started shooting arrows into Roark, forcing the mortal to fall in love, Now Christy must use every skill at her commandjust not her magicto thwart Cupid's meddling and get Roark and Stephanie together without changing their free will or ruining her perfect record.
Or she'll never get her own Happily Ever After, Originally Posted at Bitten By Books: sitelink comunder

Under His Nose is a light, fun, easy read, All of the characters are incredibly likable and the romance is sweet, tempered by just enough reality to make it believable, Christy and the other Fairy Godmothers are fun and fabulous, I love that Christy is married and this is her last mission, so to speak, Cupid makes for a great antagonistthe tension between the God and the fairies really adds to the story,
Roark and Stephanie are a great couple, They both have careers and are pretty set in their ways, All of the issues Stephanie has are easy to
relate to, Under His Nose has a distinct voicethere is a wonderful sense of humor running throughout what is a sweet, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable romance, I absolutely adored Under his nose by Candice Gilmer and I really can't wait to get started on the second book,
I can honestly say I don't think I have ever read anything this different
It has a uniqueness that I haven't seen in a while.
I love a good fantasy adventure with a healthy dose of fun and romance,
Candice Gilmer did an excellent job of worldbuilding,
The pacing was good, with a slow build at the beginning and lots of action in the final chapters,
A wonderful mix of fae, fun, romance make this an unique paranormal book, Highly Recommended! Cute twists and turns I don't think I've ever read a book about a fairy godmother before and I have to say I found it to be quite an entertaining story and plot line that I want to explore more in the future.
This one gets.from me. I did enjoy it but need to listen to maybe one more part of the series to see if I can get truly invested it the fairy godmother teams.
I found myself laughing at some of the things that happened with this book, I enjoyed reading it very much, It has gone on my to be reread shelf, I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review,
I received this book from Booksprout and Im freely giving my review
I loved this book, its about a guy named Roark and a girl named Stephanie who have known each other since they were playing in the sand box.
Now Christy is the fairy godmother who tries to help them get together but Cupid keeps interfering and things go wrong, Great book I recommend it to people that love the thought of love and anythings possible, FREE on Amazon today ! I was in the mood for something light and fun and this was exactly what I wanted, Christy's last match before she retired she wasyears old, It was time was to help Roark find his true love, Turned out she was right under his nose the whole time, He'd been best friends with Stephanie since their sandbox days, He'd never thought of her romanticly until he was shot with Cupid's arrow,
I liked watching Christy try to get Stephanie and Roark together, It wasn't an easy job because Stephanie was afraid of ruining their friendship if they took things farther and it didn't work, The squabbles between Cupid and the Fairy Godmother were hilarious,
If you like fun romantic comedies, this is for you, Downloaded this for free on my kindle amp finished it in a sitting, Cute amp simple romance if youre looking for an easy read, Great story!

I had read The Magic Under His Nose a few years ago but recently realized that I had not finished the series.
I know, right So, it was time to do a quick reread, take a trip back with my favorite godmothers, and enjoy their antics all over again.
I cant remember the last time I chuckled more at the antics happening in a romance, The Magic Under His Nose definitely made my evening,
Fairy Godmother Christy is due for retirement, Its time but shes set up a challenge with two other Fairy Godmother friends as her sendoff case, Usually, the charges of the Fairy Godmothers are girls but for this challenge, its going to be three guys to get their HEA while using as little magic as possible.
Surely for a trio of experienced Fairy Godmothers, this is a simple task, Yeah. Right.
Three friends have just watched another of their friends get his happily ever after, and the guys admit that they want what he now has.
The love of his life, the marriage, the house, the kids one day, all of it, But so far their luck hasnt actually run toward the happily ever after dates,
Roark was once again his friend Stephanies standin date, A wedding planner, and a longtime friend it wasnt unusual for them to be each others goto date for these types of events, Roark and Stephanie had known each other since childhood and often worked together as a result of their chosen careers, Hers as a wedding planner and his as the “nose” of his familys perfume company, If there was ever a shimmer of something more between then neither one acknowledged it, Especially Stephanie. While Roark has grown up in a secure, wealthy family, Stephanies mother was perhaps one of the most unstable mothers around, She was always looking for that ticket to wealth and status among the wealthy men who passed through her life, But she was the affair and never the wife and over the years her bitterness towards the wealthy had filtered down to Stephanie as well,
Stephanie would never, ever admit that she had a soft spot for Roark and if life had been different for her she might have tried for more but she was the girl from the wrong neighborhood, the girl that Roark and his father had always rescued from one of her mothers neglectful periods.
He would never in a million years look at her romantically, and shed never pull him down by not being perfect for him, So best friends were all she ever expected,
Enter Christy and a few of Cupids minions set on mischief and you have a wonderfully charming, smile a minute, happily ever after kind of fairy tale.
Eventually. Its going to take a lot more magic than Christy had allowed getting these two to see how right they were for each other, Not to mention keeping a troublemaking Cupid at bay, Just when it seems all is lost, Roark is offered a bit of Matrixstyle magic, and understanding why suddenly makes Stephanies actions more clear, But shes still stubborn, so Roark is going to have to work hard to get his happily ever after and Christy as well if she ever expects to retire, let alone win the challenge.
I adored this story and the smile factor is certainly high, If youre in the mood for a lighthearted touch of magical romance then The Magic Under His Nose is a perfect match, My recent reread was just as much fun as the first time around, Originally, parts of this review were posted on a blog of mine that no longer exists damn hackers,
I own a Kindle edition of The Magic Under His Nose, My :
Friendstolovers with a bit of fairy godmother magic thrown in Yeah, this book was fun,
Stephanie and Roark have been best friends forever, despite their very different backgrounds, Roark's family runs a very successful perfume business where he is the "nose, " Stephanie's mom is from the wrong side of the tracks and she's grown up with a bitter, disenchanted mother, Despite that difference, they've always been the best of friends which comes in handy since Stephanie is a wedding planner and often needs Roark as a standin date.
And their two businesses work together too, . . perfumes and weddings it's a good match.
But the book begins with Roark and two of his single friends at their fourth friend's wedding, The guys all state that they are ready for that, . . they all want the wife, family, home, and happiness that they see in their newly married friend, That wish goes out into the cosmos and three fairy godmothers are assigned to the trio,
Stephanie and Roark are at the wedding as dates and suddenly he sees her in a way he's never looked at her before, . . as a romantic possibility and is blown away by the idea, Stephanie has been in love with Roark forever, but she's the one who won't even consider the option of them becoming more, Her mother and this town have drilled into her that she isn't high enough status for Roark and she believes them, Besides it's really not worth the risk, She'd rather just have him as a friend than as nothing at all, . . that's not even an option, She doesn't want to lose him,
I love a friendstolovers trope because nothing can compare of those years of compatibility, Because the fairy godmother belonged to Roark, it felt like we got to know him better in the story, He wants Stephanie so much, . . my heart hurt for him when she continually turned him down, I also really liked how he and Christy became friends over the course of the book too,
The entire setup for the series is just fun, I've read this one and the last and thoroughly enjoyed them both, Now I just need to finish off the series with book, . . nothing like reading them all completely out of order,
Delightfully Fun
Who wouldn't enjoy having your very own fairy godmother This time her charge is a man and he has his heart set on a very stubborn woman who also happens to be his best friend.
When Cupid needles and free will is interrupted the sparks fly, For a fun, quick read I highly recommend this book, Enjoy the ride! I found it difficult to muster any enthusiasm for two characters who seemed to have so little sexual chemistry, but a perfectly good friendship.
The heroine spent almost the entire story repeating and explaining that they were merely best friends, and I found myself wishing that they would just stay that way.
I wasn't best pleased at the blame I sensed towards the heroine, as though if she'd only loosen up and get over herself, they'd be perfect, That's not the tone I'm looking for in a romance novel,
Also, it seemed an awfully long piece for a single sex scene between the main characters, Most of the story is taken up by arguments between the hero and heroine, the hero and his fairy godmother, and solo soulsearching by everyone involved, I would have liked to have seen much, much more sexual tension, buildup, and two people who were excited or even happy to be attracted to one another, not to mention sex.
On a textual level and this is just a pet peeve I was surprised to see so many brand names mentioned, Is the author getting kickbacks Can we read that a character eats a bunch of chocolate without a product placement
It's not a bad book, it's just not a sexy book.
And sexy is what I'm looking for when I buy a romance, .
