Fetch Tales Time (Lost Time Academy, #1) Written By G. Bailey Accessible In Document

Not for me. Characters were flat as hell and everything predictable, Fairy Tales Rule

On her seventeenth birthday Madi finds out she is a descendant of a fairy tale and she had to go to Lost Time Academy.
This changes life as she knows it but man it is fascinating to follow, Add in a new BFF and the hot Tale brothers to get a story that you won't want to end, Which it does of course with a nice cliff hanger, Book two is gonna be great, I really liked it so I give it/stars, I am loving this!

So I am a lover of fairy tales and G, Bailey's new novel did not disappoint!
The FMC has lived a normal life until herth birthday where she finds out she is a descendant of a fairy tale read this awesome book to find out which one.

The character development was really indepth but was written in a way that was super easy to digest, There is a lot of hidden plotting and secrets, I totally guessed about Quinton but your next twist after that Gem just completely knocked me over, I'm still in denial, Loved this book and cannot wait for book, This book was on my iPad for quite some time already and it was maybe even longer on my wishlist, I love fairytales and retellings, so as soon as I read the blurb I was intrigued, I remember that I tried to read it already some time ago, but for some reason I put it aside again, but when I was looking for a quick and easy read for this afternoon I found this story again and it seemed like the perfect book to spend a lazy Sunday with.

And I have to admit that after reading this book I'm not quite

sure how to rate it and what to think of it.
Let me start with saying that I think the idea of the story is amazing, I really love the premise and the world building and the politics seemed really interesting, The way the fairytales are used and changed also felt very original and I loved how Bailey managed to make Sleeping Beauty a little more interesting than it usually seems.

The book was at times quite predictable, but I personally don't find that much of a problem, It usually means that the hints and build up are well done and that the author is not just going for shock value, but really has a story planned.
However, the book missed a little excitement, It's hard to describe what missed exactly, but for some reason I just didn't really feel it, I didn't feel the action scenes, I didn't feel the so called romances and I didn't feel the curiosity to dive deeper into this world.

It has a lot of potential, but it didn't deliver what I had hoped for, The five guys were too much alike and hard to tell apart, we didn't get to see much of their inner turmoils and there were way too many secrets and only too few were revealed.
At some point I will certainly read the other two books in the series, but I have no clue when that will be.
I might try out some other series on my wishlist first,

What if all the fairy tales are real
What if you were one of them

When Madilynn turned seventeen, her parents dropped a big, ancientlooking book in her lap and said to open it by herself.
Madilynn almost wishes she hadn't, when it reveals she is a descendant of a fairy tale, and her parents tell her it's time for her to attend Lost Time Academy.
. .

Being thrown into a world that is literally full of fairy tales, the last thing she expects is to see the four guys she grew up with!

Four guys who have grown from boys to now geeky, dark, passionate men who rule the Academy and they never forgot Madilynn.
. .

Time makes all tales come true, including the dark ones, . .

,stars
This one surprised me, even with a lot of things that I really couldn't see a seventeen years old having the maturity to think of.

Nice way to retell fairy tales and I'll probably read book two as soon as it's out, Madis life is turned upside down on the day of herth birthday, when shes told that shes a descendant of Sleeping Beauty and will be attending the Lost Time Academy.

This story is filled with love, hate, magic and adventure, I highly recommend Tales amp Time, first book in the Lost Time Academy series, Im looking forward to more fairy tale adventures, as this reverse harem story continues with Tales amp Dreams, Honesty, Im ashamed to have started this novel, I was looking for some good, corny, brainless reading and thought Id give this book a try,

This book cant even be called a book, There is no character development there are hardly even characters, I dont think this author has ever met another person in her life, because, from what I can tell, she has no idea how people feel, think, or act.

World building and character development are done through clunky exposition like these gems from the first chapter:

“My mum doesnt look her age, but it likely has something to do with how beautiful she is.
Everyone says we look similar as I have her chocolate brown hair and matching brown eyes, but I dont see it otherwise, Im average looking compared to my mum”

“Quinton works parttime to afford food for himself and his mum, as she cant work.
Not by choice, but her love of alcohol gets her fired from every job she has ever had, and the moment Quinton could work to help them, she didnt stop him.

Has this author ever heard of “subtlety”

Also, bouncing off that first quote, lets talk about our main character: Madilynn “Sleepy” Dormiens.

She's informed by her parents that she's actually a fairy tale descendant with special powers, and must leave immediately for boarding school to remain safe from dark fairy tale descendants who want to kill her.
At her new school, she meets four familiar brothers who are also fairy tales and who also all love her For some reason Noah is a "golden boy" who also beats on his twin brother, Tobias, a drug addict that killed their former fiancé.
Sin is a sexy bad boy who smirks a lot and hits on Madi as she's crying about her exboyfriend's well being, and his brother, Knox literally punches boys who look at Madi and manhandles her around.
She's mainly upset because "they're keeping secrets from her" priorities,

First, I despise books in which a protagonist calls their parents beautiful then turns around and calls themself ugly genetics dont exist, only to have other characters throughout the story call them “beautiful,” “breathtaking,” etc.
This is even worse, because shes the direct descendent of Sleeping BEAUTY, I have seen this trope too many times to count, and it reads like Wattpadpublished, selfinsert fan fiction written by an elevenyearold that took a creative writing class over the summer and now thinks theyre the next J.
K. Rowling. Quick Tip: your protagonist doesnt sound humble when you do this, they sound idiotic,

Second, this girl is so focused on boys, her every action is illogical, or directly motivated by romance logic, She doesnt question anything shes told, except being told to stay away from said boys, Shes complacentat bestabout arranged marriage being around enthusiastic at worst, right up until she doesnt get to be engaged to the boys she wants.
Her exboyfriend tells her not to call him, implies he knows all this secret stuff about her he shouldn't, and sounds “not one bit like himself,” yet she just respects that request and decides to focus on romancing the four brother love interests instead.
Spoiler:

Often the very structure of individual sentences and paragraphs in this book is so obscenely awkward and bad, I can only recommend you try actually reading the first chapter to fully convey to you the degree to which the author murdered the English language.

Here's a fun sentence from it:

"'Sleep and save, sleep and save,' the words seem to come from the crows, but I know thats impossible because crows cant talk.
"

I genuinely bust out laughing as soon as I read this sentence, Our dim heroine is dreaming of ravens/crows flying over her head, and felt the need to inform the reader that birds are not, in fact, capable of human speech.
Thanks, Sleepy. And, yeah, I have to say crows/ravens, as both are used throughout the book for the same repeated dream scene, Im not sure if Madi cant tell the difference between the two bird species and uses both names interchangeably, or the author is just so lazy she didnt reread her first draft and notice the mistake.

This bird problem is indicative of the entire novel, honestly, Its just lazy. I took a look at G, Baileys profile on Goodreads, and it seems that she writes these nichefetish books where a girl has a haram of good looking men vying for her affection.
Honestly, I shouldve paid more attention before starting this book, because I wouldve known this was trash before I began, Instead, I found out it was trash about half way through the first sentence,

I mean, look at this timeline of G, Baileys publication history according to Goodreads, She publishes a new book every month or so, sometimes publishing two or three within two weeks of each other!!! Theres no way shes revising any of this crap.

At this point, this review is just me trying to figure out how this woman is making money publishing utter horseshit.
Because, clearly this is a lucrative career for her, she wouldnt be desperately churning out another harem romance every weekend otherwise, and yet how are people actually paying for these books How can the average person justify spending even.
on something so unrefined, they themselves could have written it

I guess I just dont understand guys, This started as a real review, but now Im just sad at the state of literature, I hope anyone who enjoys these novels cleanses their senses every once and a while with real writing, as opposed to poorly written softcore teen drama.
There is good smut out there, ladies, even for your niche fetish! Please, go find it! Dont waste your time on this nonsense.
