I think that is more powerful than any magic, I didn't miss Emma in this book, In fact I like Gideon and Jess together as a couple much more than I like them as a threesome, I'm sure we will learn more of what happens to Emma in the next book but what I'm really waiting to read is how, when and where they hook up with David.
