good stories

But hated the last one, just didn't flow, The rest of the stories are really good, and creepy, Grab it,great deal on the price, The newest electrifying, hairraising, spinechilling, mindblowing, collection from authors Ron Ripley, David Longhorn, Sara Clancy, and Bronson Carey, Stick your finger in an electric socket while fresh from your shower: you'll get shocks galore, but nowhere like reading these stories, in which the dead are implacable and have a sharp axis to grind.

Recommended for daytime reading on sunny days, Do not read at night alone, unless of course you like sleeping with all the Lights on, Curiosity, it is said, killed the kitty, An old saying perhaps, but in this volume of excellent stories it is the curious who meet their untimely demises in a delicious variety of gruesome ways, True, most of them were up to no good in the first place and had it coming but still,
The writing here is up to the usual Scare Street standards, The characters are well developed and nary a one of them is close to perfect, They all had flaws. They all allowed their lust for what they didn't have lead to their undoing, Even Shane Ryan gets into the act in one of the stories, and he plays his role very well,
The last story, "Fatberg," deviates from the norm in that the evil doesn't manifest itself in ghosts but in a massive globule of sewage solids, As a retired wastewater treatment employee, this one struck home to me, I have seen personally several of these "fatbergs" and the resulting mess they make and while none of them were close to the monster in the story in size, trust me when I tell you that they can create a monstrous cleanup project.
Perhaps it is good that I am retired, I don't know that I could ever face one of these things again and not think of the beast in this story,
Okay, get the book, Don't read it in the dark, Above all, don't let your curiosity get the better of you, You may not live to regret it, I received a review copy through library thing's Early er's program,

This is the first horror short story collection I have read by Scare Street, This collection has seventeen stories by four authors, Many are set in the northeastern portion of the United States, Many of the characters meet grisly ends from the hands

of the undead, A few stories have very current settings with references to the current pandemic, and the very last story Fatberg, while it didn't quite match up with the tone of the other stories in the book was probably my favorite as it had a little more humorous tone than the other stories.

This was an engaging collection of spooky stories, perfect for fall spooky reading, Fabulous Reading!

I enjoyed reading this book, All of the stories are fabulous,

Bronson Carey, Sara Clancy, David Longhorn and Ron Ripley did an excellent job with these stories,

Ron Ripley wrote nine of the twelve stories, Hes a tourdeforce.
