Lastbooks by Beth D, Carter and Lily Harlem were the best, Gambit by Elyzabeth VaLey: Meh,
Ambivalenc by Jessica Jayne: Nah,
Loving Obsession by Allyson Young: Ok,
Reluctant Love by Arabella Sheen: DNF background story is about a starting pandemic no thanks.
Also, story takes place in Britain: ", . . any idea what's heading our way, but if we look to EUROPE, . . " They can brexit all they want, but Britain is STILL part of Europe! I HATE it when they're saying it as if they are not.
Sounds arrogant IMO.
Roman's Prize by Winter Sloane: forgot to review this and the next two stories :/
Marrying the Devil by Jade Marshall: Boooooring, yawn.
Arrogant CEO by Laura M, Baird: Finally. You could feel the emotions, connect with the characters, HER ILU a bit unconvincing, what changed her mind
next two stories: So lala,
Highland Fling by Lily Harlem: Tame,
Overall, this anthology is rather lackluster, Maybe this topic is just not suited for shorter stories because they all more or less lacked the tension this special situation forced marriage should create.
You also never get to experience in detail how the Reluctant Bride overcomes her reluctance and gets to know her new husband.
It's always rather sudden and/or unconvincing,
So, if you are looking for stories that ", . . are sure
to deliver passion that is off the charts, scorching hot sx, and sighworthy happy ever afters", go look somewhere else.

Matrimonio por contrato Loved the majority of these stories, Reluctant Bride is a sexy anthology filled with brides who are not always willing and the men who are determined to have them.
It's filled with the push and pull of the relationship as these men and women navigate being together and finding their happy ever after.
This is a fantastic collection with some incredible authors, My particular favorite is Lily Harlem's contribution with Highland Fling,
Highland Fling by Lily Harlem from the Reluctant Bride anthology
Highland Fling is a short, sexy romance with a reluctant bride and a man determined to make her his.
Jasmine is running from her past and a terrible ex when she lands in the highlands of Scotland working at a beautiful hotel.
She's kind, friendly, and hardworking, and hoping to make a life for herself away from the danger of her past.
It takes a small indiscretion to put her in the sights of Stuart and things escalate from there.
I have to say, I understand Jasmine's reluctance towards Stuart's proposal and Ms Harlem does a good job with the whole "reluctant bride" theme.
Not my favorite trope since I tend to stay away from all things that smack of that reluctance, but Ms Harlem does a good job of working through Jasmine's resistance quickly.
Can't say I was particularly fond of Jasmine when she decides to do something foolish but hey, it certainly added to the drama of the situation.
Stuart is a very determined man, He's hard to get a read on at first since he comes off as very demanding and bossy, but as he slowly reveals himself, we find out that he's a man of integrity, who cares about his employees and the environment, and he's conscious of what he does and the legacy he's going to leave behind.
Of course, that doesn't negate the fact that he's domineering as all heck and is very insistent where Jasmine is concerned.
It takes a little while to discover that he's noticed Jasmine from the start and has wanted her the whole time.
Things might have gone a little more smoothly if his methods were a little less abrupt and dominating.
While I liked Stuart from the start, I liked him even more when he rides in like a gallant knight to the rescue and then reveals his feelings and softer side.
I enjoyed this as a quick, steamy read aside from the little blip when Jasmine did something silly although to be fair, it led to her needing to be rescued and I do love a good damsel in distress scene.
Ms Harlem has a way of writing stories that I find enjoyable and satisfying,

What a great series of books!! I just absolutely loved all of them!! A definite must read!! Happy Reading!!! : Sexy quick reads!!!
This anthology is filled withforced/ arranged marriage stories.
Some stories are told from dual POV, and others in the third person, They are well written and have approximatelychapters each,
The brides are young, reluctant, and forced into a marriage with older men, who use highhanded means to get what they want.
Each story is about a different couple with different storylines, There are MC, agegap, billionaire and BDSM stories, so you get something different with each short story you read.
The heroines are sassy, smart, witty, courageous and selfsacrificing, and the heroes are domineering, obsessive, controlling and possessive.
Grrrr I seriously could not stand the men's brash and cocksure dialogue, It was a turnoff for me, There is a fine line between being domineering and selfassertive and being arrogant and cocky,
There is serious smut in the stories and less swoony romance, You will enjoy reading the Reluctant Bride anthology if you like smutty books with forced relationships and HEA.
The stories are pretty interesting and entertaining, but I wish they were longer, I
