really enjoyed this book, but I am worried it is affecting me, I want to start hoarding gold and gems, Nice ending, goals accomplished, but plenty to set up a couple of more novels with these characters, This book started out strong, if a little simplistic at times, but wasn't quite good enough to keep me interested as the main plot kicked in.
I started to lose interest as the relationships between the main character and what I assume will become his harem began to develop an earnest.
The dialogue that is developing these relationships is awkwardly blunt and in your face as the characters state their feelings in an unnatural way to each other.
At this point the story started to feel more like a soap opera than I am comfortable with in the books I read and I bowed out early.
I think mileage will vary on this one depending on your tastes, There's a lot to like here, especially if you're into some easy reading fun, However, this book didn't do quite enough for me to want to finish it off and for that reason he gets three from this reader.
This is one of those books where I enjoyed it so much that I could overlook other things,
Theo is a dishwasher at a restaurant where the woman he has eyes for Jenna is a waitress, The owner is a constant thorn in Theo's side, picking on the small guy and causing him trouble while going after Jenna,
Things escalate one night, and Theo takes a shot at Prinker, the owner, That's a mistake, and the owner starts beating on Theo while grabbing at Jenna, After tossing Theo out like garbage, he hauls away Jenna as his prize,
Theo can't take it, and gets a notification which notifies him that he's a dragon, A young, very inexperienced dragon who can't take his most majestic form yet, but still a dragon,
I won't spoil what comes after that, but the book definitely starts out with an urban fantasy vibe, I was fine with that, but then the book shifts dramatically in the middle, and we're off on a fantasy adventure facing orcs and a lot more.
It's a pretty big dichotomy, but that's fine, Theo continues to grow as a dragon, and Jenna has her own powers as well,
The writing is solid and the editing is good, if not great, I did notice a few mistakes, but nothing big enough to pull me out of the story, The notifications sit in the background, and while they're important, they're also easy to skip if you want to, The story is strong enough to stand on its own,
For me, this is a fun action adventure with dragons, magic users, lots and lots of orcs, and more, It doesn't sound like much, but a book is more than its individual parts,
Recommended./Very good start to a series,
I enjoyed this story very much, and I look forward to seeing what happens next,
While reading I was also listening to the audio book, When the stats were being read out, there were some incorrect readings, Other than that it was very enjoyable, There is only one thing bad about Jamie McFarlanes Drakon Prince: A LitRPG/GameLit Adventure: it ends, Oh, I will admit that its a perfectly satisfying ending, but the problem is that I know there will eventually be a bookand the bookwas so fabulously written, perfect LitRPG/GameLit something Im a huge fan of that Im disgruntled Im not having it now.
Go read the publishers blurb fir a perfectly good description, I wont say more as I dont want to give anything away, Just know that this book was superbly written, with perfect world really worlds building, and a wonderful crafted lead and supporting characters, Really, Id need to access a thesaurus to find enough superlatives to label this book, So much so that I just spent an entire night reading it its:am now Im gonna be in bad shape tomorrow but it was soo worth it.
Bottom line: its easy to highly recommend, and I better be right about my guess that there will be a sequel or even better a series and hope it comes out soon.

“This was a fun book, I am glad that I read it, You should try it too, ”
As the title says this is a review for Kindle Unlimited and as such is a reflection of my enjoyment of the book and in no way reflects cost to value analysis.
I hate trying to define my enjoyment and describe facets of it that would appeal to someone else, It is simply not my style, But for the sake of those fishing for clues:
Character development: very good
Game elements: moderate
Harem elements: none
Tone: good blend of seriousness and humor in blended modern day and fantasy settings
I will happily discuss the book with you on Goodreads if you are so inclined.
As always, I am open to debates and arguments, but also vain enough to seek acknowledgement, so feel free to roast me or applaud my efforts.
Either is acceptable, because if you are paying attention to me then you are at least considering the book, And THAT my friends is exactly why you see my comments here,
