Begin Your Journey With Broken Souls (Draicon Werewolves, #2) Outlined By Bonnie Vanak Offered As Electronic Format

on Broken Souls (Draicon Werewolves, #2)
this is Baylor's story he's the asshole who pit himself against Nicolas in the previous story, He wants to show his loyalty to the pack and mate with Katia who he has loved for ages, . . even though he repeatedly tried to tempt Maggie to mate with him in the Empath, Whatever. Katia is having none of Baylor's "you must marry me before this time" ultimatum, even though she loves him too, because she has to find her father and get his forgiveness for something and then abandon her current pack to go back and live with him if he's still alive.
Turns out, yeah, he is, but he's a morph, Katia is sort of a dunce and goes about swearing she can save her father and getting angry at Baylor, who wants to kill her father.

These two had zero chemistry, I would never have believed they were best friends let alone considering a life time mating ceremony, Baylor also felt like a completely different character this time around, Katia was just TSTL. And her mother honestly I kind of feel like Katia was better off without her, That whole guilt trip at the end, . . "And if he wants you to be happy, he'll understand your decision to leave here, We're your family, Katia, all you have left, Family comes above all else, remember" Wow, Way to think about your kids happiness, Mom, No wonder you stopped searching for her when you thought she was dead, Mom's behavior makes me seriously question Katia's judgement about her own, idyllic and peaceful childhood, Anyway, this just didn't quite make it for me, I wasn't too fond of the characters' behavior nor their chemistry, Maybe it was the novella format, but this was not my favorite, This story is also published in the anthology Midnight Cravings

She was forbidden by the Draicon to cast the bloodtoblood spell.
But Katia was determined

to find her father, and the spell was her only option, The Draicon had taken her into their pack when her own family had been destroyed by the Morphs, But Katia had never given up hope that her father was still alive, and refused to mate for life with her beloved Baylor until she found him.
Now Baylor had given her an ultimatum, and Katia was forced to take drastic measures,

But when Katia's spell summoned a Morph claiming to be her father, nothing Baylor said could convince her of the danger.
Baylor knew too well the cost of trusting a loved one who'd turned, and desperately wanted to save Katia the pain he'd lived with for so long.
He also knew that if he spared the Morph, it would destroy Katia, but if he killed this evil being, he risked losing her love forever.

Second outing for the Draicon Wolves and I'm still not feeling it,

Description:

My Thoughts:

Like the Empath I just had a really hard time connecting to this book and the characters.
We met Baylor in bookand there he was a read SOB, . . and was pretty good at it too, In the end he came around a bit but in this book his personality really changed to the point where he felt like a different character.
Katia well she goes in my TSTL category, . . damn that girl was stupid,

I won't go on lambasting this book there are several plot issues and continuity problems from bookNot one I would suggest my friends read.

star outing for me, . . I might read book . one day. Before I get to the review, I absolutely have to point out that this is the exact same cover as sitelinkThe Empath, with a different face superimposed on the man.
Granted, I'm glad that this guy doesn't look like he's getting an anal probe, but still, that's pretty bunk,

As for the story, . . Vanak hasn't quite hit the sweet spot yet, Our hero is Baylor, who we met in the last book, And as much as he was a douche in The Empath, he's turned into a really good guy here, He just wants to prove his loyalty to the pack and mate with Katia, Unfortunately, Katia is an idiot, She insists that they find her father before she'll mate with Baylor, She goes on and on about how family has to come first, And even once it's clear that that her father is a morph, she keeps insisting he can be saved, even though NO MORPHS CAN BE SAVED.

Of course, we got a happy ending, But frankly, I don't think Katia deserved Baylor or his loyalty, stars.
