on A Heart of Stone

was a very bland read, Till the end was waiting for something to happen but everything just went too smoothly, I have to give this one a lower rating because unlike the others Ive read, this book had very slow pacing, with such a heavy emphasis on the Scottish clans and their feuding that it wasnt untilpages later that Vanora even did anything.
As a book lover, the stolen folio plot seemed more random to the rest of the story, and I was pretty surprised that with all the feuding buildup, there was no big fight at the end.
Everything went so smoothly and the clans made up within a matter of paragraphs, Woah. While so many Barbara Cartland's romance or, at least the ones I've read so far mostly set place in England, this one is pretty refreshing because it's set in Scotland.

Dame Barbara Cartland had described the land very eloquently and just by reading it I could imagine the scenery over the Castle and the sea.

The story is some kind of like 'Romeo amp Juliet'style love story between two feuding clans, and end up in a dramatic scene that I wish someone would make a movie about this book.
