Theme: The power of music it is actually crime does not pay but I had that earlier already

Lessons:
The importance of having laws on labor.
Imagine our hero here only gotpesosdollars foryears of hard work and he does not have the government to protect his rights,
Don't trust people with pointed and shiny moustache haha!

Delight and Pleasure:
The illustrations are Pinocchiolike, The colors are sharp and the characters are like wooden people, The ending is similar to Patrick Suskind's sitelinkPerfume: The Story of a Murderer minus the group sex of course, this is a children's book and perfume.


Other Ways of Appreciation of Philippine Literature:
Maybe the government during

the olden days did not have strong laws to protect the workers' rights or maybe the workers in the provinces were not educated enough or they don't have the money to seek the help of the authorities or hire a lawyer.


Overall: The two things that I liked about this book: the assurance that patient and gentle people can also win in the end despite the chaos, hustle, bustle, deceit and treachery that surround us everyday of our lives and also the gorgeous pretty illustrations.
