Unlock Now The House Of The Vampire Queen (The Vampiric Housewife, #2) Scripted By Kristen Marquette Published As Digital Copy
loved The Vampiric Housewife, but I just may love The House of the Vampire Queen even more, Its rare that the second book is better than the first, but I could not put this book down, I finished it in about two days, I enjoy strong yet vulnerable heroines, women who can kick ass but still need to be held at the end of a long day, and Valerie is definitely one of them.
I have loved watching her evolve from thes housewife into something more I would say more, but I dont want to give anything away.
Where as the first book started off a little slow, the suspense grabs you in the very first chapter, Marquette continues to take vampires and vampire lore in a whole new direction, blending myth and science together, The plot is fast paced with rich, troubled characters, full of twists and turns, and leaves you wanting more, The writing remains extremely rich and visual, And my favorite literary vampire Harry, now thirteen, becomes even more deliciously evil, The only problem with finding a new author you like is that you cant devour them like authors with a lot of other works under their belt, you have to sit and wait for the next book to come out.
I cant wait to read the next installment in this vampire series! I can't wait for the next book to come out!!! Wow, I loved the first book, and this second one did not disappoint, Managing to pick up the original story but at the same time weave in a very new one, Once again a unique take on vampire "life", More please! I have enjoyed reading books for many years, but up until joining Goodreads I never read book reviews, When I started reading them on here I came across the odd review where the reviewer said they threw the book across the room or at a wall.
I just could not understand why anyone would do that, . . until tonight.
Tonight I finished reading The House of the Vampire Queen, Please bear in mind that I am not one for swearing willynilly, but the first words out of my mouth as I read and realised that this was the very last sentence were "No! Fck!" and for the first time ever I had that urge to throw my copy across the room as hard as I could.
I didn't, and instead I just stared at the cover saying "You really can't do this, You really can't leave it there!" But Kristen Marquette did, and I'll tell you what That was the best vampire book I've ever read.
Read it. You will totally understand my reaction, I hope you love it as much as I did, I really liked this book, The women leads are strong and not in need of protection but still likable, John finally pulls his head out of his butt and Harry is really developing into a little fiend, I absolutely could not believe that it ended where it did and I cannot wait until the next book comes out, This book was just as awesome as the first one!!!! Can't wait to begin the final book! What a good series! I enjoyed this one as much as the first, although I was a little disappointed in some of the ending.
