Victor White
Victor White is better known with regards to his interaction with Jung but in the present series of essays, the teacher of theologians like Herbert McCabe comes to the fore in his reading of Aquinas and the life of the church.
His prelude to Aquinas's five ways is a great primer, as is the essay, 'God the Unknown', where White challenges any discourse about God that doesn't first begin in negation.
It might not be 'new' to speak in apophatic terms, but White writes at a time when an awful amount was being predicated on "God is".
