been reading books lately that focus on gays in film or films that gay men should watch and appreciate I've not been impressed by these books This one however is a little different Focusing sore on male beauties in the movies it does a much better job of proving its point of view on numerous occasions and is simply entertaining to read I'd have loved pictures and color pictures at that but its still a good read Seeing as the subject matter is about hot male movie I was surprised to see that this is one of the most tedious books I've ever readIt was a challenge to make myself finish itI believe that the problem lies in the fact that the writer who is of course gay wrote entirely from the gay male perspective and he includes treatises on gay politics and life in the gay community that a doggedly straight woman like myself can't relate toIt was no doubt written for and targeted at gay men and that's something I should have paid attention to when I bought the book but I was distracted by all the good looking men on the cover and paid no attention Silly meThe credit that I can give the book is that it covers a wide timeline and has a lot of attractive pictures included While at first glance this book may seem like it is only for the gay market I have to tell you this is not so  As a hetro male who is into movies this book was everything I could hope for  Bravo to the author for the research done for this book had to be a labor of love  Love
