Access Edger Lives (Edger, #2) By David Beem Presented As Mobi

on Edger Lives (Edger, #2)

give this book theF's: Fast action! Fun! Fablous! This book is hilarious, and you wonder, . . how the heck did the author come up with that line And that line there, And this other one. I spend the entire time reading this book not only entertained by the plot and action, but also happily baffled by the comedic bull.
Where the holy heck does this humor come from Where does it reside in David Beems body that it saturates this superhero comedy book unlike any other
Besides all this, you also get a fun and sexy assassin pretend wife and sometime girlfriend who could shoot the dots off dice and fight Bruce Lee to a standstill.

Popular actors in laughyoura off situations and costumes, with dialogue real actors would want to spout off in the real world just for the absolute fun of it.

A smarta supervillian who is overwhelmingly powerfuland vain, too, Or is that overwhelmingly vain and powerful, too, I get confused.
I'm looking forward to Edger! Write write write!

Church of the Ladder Day Dudes, Gary Busey. David Hasselhoff. Putin. Flying Swag Monkeys. Putin on horseback.

No way I can do justice to this book with a normal review,

Edger Live's is similar to Edger in that weird people and situations begin to make sense, . . until you think about it, and then your mind screams and, . .

The book is hilarious, I strongly suggest you read Edger first, the first Edger Book so you have some idea who all these people are and why their doing the things they're doing.

If you like weird, funny and unforgettable situations and characters, you'll love this book, Beem brings a humorous twist to another scifi / actionadventure tale, If you read Edgeryou know that the author creates characters and situations that combine extreme sarcasm with sometimes just bad, dumb luck, Edger Lives
Access Edger Lives (Edger, #2) By David Beem Presented As Mobi
returns readers to Edger's world as he tries to stay alive and save the world from villains and doom via multiple rounds of misadventures.
Edger Lives brings superhero powers, endoftheworld destruction, a little romance, light science fiction and loads of off the wall characters, off the cuff sarcasm and oneliners.
Edger encounters some tense moments as he moves through the novelbut, during nearly every serious scenethe characters' thoughts and dialogue lighten the mood with a sarcastic comment or quirky idea that plays off a piece of the scene.

Edger Lives is another pageturner, The author creates a very well organized storyline that is fast paced and well executedbut, readers need a slightly guylike and a science geek / superhero / nerd sense of humor to appreciate it fully.
I loved Edgerthe first book in the seriesbut, as I read through the first few pages of the introduction to Edger LivesI doubted that the content was going to be my "speed" this time around.
It started a little more geared toward "the guys" than the science nerd / geekhumor fan I had expected, I shouldn't have worriedthough, because once the actual story kicked inEdger was back with his nonstop wisecracks and the author's previous writing style and humor level returned.
The story moves quickly, and readers do need to read rather closely to catch all of the sarcastic references and jokes, While there is a lot of "guyhumor" and suchI still found myself giggling along or eyerolling along through the pages,

Would I recommend Edger Lives by David Beem I indeed share the author's sense of humorand I do love this series! If you enjoy action adventure, science fiction themes and unexpected unintended heroesand love characters who use a lot of sarcasm and humor to make light of the bad things that come alonggive the Edger series a chance.
I would recommend reading the first book first, While the author provides some background on the happenings of the first novel, you will have a greater appreciation for some of the character relationships and understand more of Edger's personality and thought processes if you read the books in order.
If you are easily offended by some foul language or sexual referencesthis may not be your seriesbut, this is the perfect book for those of us with the tendency to find something sarcastic or humorous in any really every situation.

I received a copy of this book from the author for use in a blog review, All opinions are my own,

It was a blustery early November when I first met David Beem, He was hovering on a wall tying a lefthanded clover hitch sailor shank to a wall support to help out another author at a very small but very cozy author meetngreet.
I was among the attending authors,

I think maybe David is Edger somewhat, Because there is no other way that I can explain to you the reality that lies within either the book or the brain of David Beem.

It's not fair to me as a reader to review this book because it's too awesome, It's like I'm reviewing the contents of David's mind and sharing the secrets with the world,

The book is awesome, Edger Lives is spankyouintheface awesome,

I haven't read the first one yet so I am a disadvantage, And that sucks for me, But what else can I do now and either purchase the first book or dream about having purchased it or maybe I could sit down with some Earl Grey tea in a red wingback chair and dream of a time that never was in which I had purchased the book and now am writing from a much more balanced perspective.

I could do that,

Or I could just buy the first book,

Edger Lives is full of life threatening tales, woven in and around each other so as to make a quilt of fastpaced, actionpacked Latter Day Dude infested hodgepodge of miraculous spontaneous mental combustion.
Also there's Gary Busey. You can't go wrong there, . . Unless you don't like Bay Watch inside joke,

Again, it is with shock, alarm, and dismay that I have not read the first book, but if you have read the first book I think you've been wanting some moreabout Mary, and this book will not disappoint you in the slightest.

Karate Hands This is, of course, the sequel to "Edger", Our man Edger is on top of the world, The world he just saved, though only a handful of people know, He has a team of support people who work for a shadowy government agency, Most importantly, he is living with blonde, beautiful super spy, Mary, What could go wrong Edger is once again drawn into a plot to take over the world, The rogue AI, now residing in exCluckNPray employee Christine, is heading to the Midwest with an assortment of companions including a Russian assassin and Putin.
Yes, that Putin. Edger has been attacked by the Eds and is on the run toward New York with Mary, Beautiful Mary, who is a traitor working for Nostradamus, Whaaaat This book starts a bit more slowly than "Edger" the first in the series, hard to beat an AI enhanced cow wandering an adult store as an opening but as the various groups of players converge on Notre Dame in South Bend, it picks up the pace and becomes the fast paced, hilarious tale that "Edger" is.
A worthy sequel that leaves us waiting breathlessly for the next installment in the series, I can't wait. Hang on for a wild ride!

Edger Bonkovitch is a nerdy twentysomething guy with a good intentions, a kind heart and a peculiar power.
A serum developed by his superscientist father has given him the ability to tap into the Collective Unconscious, an ethereal realm where every human soul that has ever lived continues to think, kibbitz and on occasion, offer assistance.
In the past, for instance, Edger has called upon the martial arts expertise of the immortal Bruce Lee to get him out of some nasty scrapes.
Wearing his IronManesque superhero suit, Edger is determined to fight for the survival of humanity against the nearomnipotent Nostradamus though he keeps getting distracted by his bootilicious, assassintrained, possiblynottobetrusted minder Mary.

Intelligence operatives from the muchfeared GSPOT and HARDON organizations want to use Edgers capabilities for their own murky purposes, Evil clones are after him, not to mention religiouslyinspired stoners, a gorgeous but vicious Russian spy, his hobbitsized best friend and a dizzying array of other weird characters.

Unfortunately, Nostradamus or someone else equally evil has blocked Edgers ability to access the Collective Unconscious, Hes on the run, bewildered, nearly helpless, when he encounters not only the centuriesold prophet himself, but his own father, previously presumed dead.
As the world he knows shatters in an epic battle between good and evil, Edger wonders whether hell survive to appear in the sequel not to mention whether hell ever have the chance to let Mary know he loves her.

Edger Lives by David Beem is a complicated, irreverent, frenetic and funny novel that requires a total suspension of rational judgment.
Every scene is more over the top than the last, The book relies rather heavily on pop culture allusions, some of which I am sure that I missed, Overall, its quite hilarious, though the humor is so broad at times that it borders on silly,

The action scenes are particularly welldone, I could easily imagine the telekinetic battle in the hotel lobby, with the piano smashing through wall, or the even more apocalyptic struggle involving a flying fleet of tractor trailer trucks.
Read the book if you are curious, . . Weird, but vivid.

If you dont demand anything in the way of plausibility or consistency, reading Edger Lives is highly entertaining, My main criticism relates to the frequent references to events in the previous installment of this series called Edger, Many of the characters apparently first appeared in that book, but the author doesnt provide enough background to clarify just who they are.
In the preface to Edger Lives, Mr, Beem snarkily castigates readers who didnt happen to read the first book, Im sorry, but I really didnt appreciate that attitude, An author who writes a series has a responsibility to make each installment stand on its own,

All in all, though, Edger Lives is a humorous, clever diversion from the everyday, It might be worth buying the book just to enjoy Vladimir Putin in love,
A wonderful book filled with adventure and fun! David Beem was kind and insistent enough to send me an ARC of the latest installment of his Edger series.
I think I need to put the boy on my Christmas card list because this is a fun, exciting book from a writer who needs to be on your radar.

Edger Lives starts out wacky and pushes on the accelerator with both feet as the tale progresses, The story moves quickly and the characters practically beg to be immortalized in a screenplay, This tale of performance anxiety not THAT kind, . . get your mind out of the gutter so mine can float by with potential global consequences is a fantastic read,

This book is what might happen if the members of Monty Python put superheroics, Flemingesque spywork, and Vladimir Putin in a cocktail.
. . shaken, not stirred, of course, . . and poured it into a refreshingly entertaining novel, Highly recommended!
David Beem's sequel continues to enlighten and entertain readers about the adventures of Edger the lovable dorky superhero protagonist, The style and structure of the book itself is similar to the first book, which I liked, since it is a part of a series.

Also, the second book was just as humorous as the first book, which is hard to pull off, Usually the first book is the best of a series, I loved the humor admittedly, I snorted out loud a few times and appreciated the local tie to northern Indiana South Bend and Notre Dame, more specifically.

I am looking forward to reading more adventures of Edger! I want to point out right at the beginning that this is not a standalone and Bookshould be read first which I am sorry to say I did not do.
I did read several reviews about Bookwhich I might add were glowing, and many of the statements there helped get my head straight and keep the story flowing.
One person used the word “quirky” in their description of Bookand I think it may be the perfect word for this book too, only Ill add cute and quirky.

This book is obviously written by a very intelligent person, at times maybe more so than myself, Were some of the innuendos and jokes over my head Im not sure and that probably validates the previous sentence, This book is full of witticisms, irreverent comments, satirical undertones, laugh out loud statements, and wellyou name it, There are some of the nuttiest names you have ever heard for people, places and things, Youd have to be intelligent to even come up with some of the names in this book, Either intelligent and very creative or wellIll let you fill in your own word, But then again, thats the fun of this book,

How do you write a spy novel filled with items more futuristic than James Bond movies ever had and yet have a sweet but bumbling superhero and a little romance included Im not sure but it worked for author David Beem this time, and it sure seems to have worked in Book.
So, Mr. Beem When will Bookbe out
