Take Shackled Lily (Winsor, #2) Originated By T.L. Gray Expressed As E-Text

This was a new author for me, The book held my interest and I plan to go back and read the first book of the series, Warning Do Not pick this up unless you enjoy intense faith oriented novels, While i do not mind reading books that include a religious or faithful undertones i do not appreciate being hammered over the head with faith when all i wanted was to lose myself in a romance novel.
To be somewhat fair i may have missed the christian genre tag on Amazon, The second in this series was even more intense than the first, The author does such a great job of writing believable characters, With the first person POV, I really felt as though I knew Lily and got into her head, Her poor choices often made me uncomfortable, but isn't that similar to real life Very refreshing series and I look forward to Jake's story.

Ms Gray has a true talent for bringing emotions to the surface with her writing, Issy and Grant's story is the second installment of the Winsor Series and with each book it gets better, This one took me from laughing, to anger, to weeping and cheering at the ending, Very well written. Once again Tammy Gray had me staying up well into the night reading this heartbreaking, yet hopefilled story, Shackled Lily takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster, resolving things just enough to allow for some closure, all while frantically searching for book three! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good redemption story.
Wow, reading this novel has definitely been a rollercoaster of emotions, The story of Issy and Grant is one of patience, hope, redemption, renewal, and true love, Venturing through the psyche of Issy was very revealing, When starting this novel I knew that Issy was more than what was on the outside, but as I read through the novel my eyes have been opened, even more, to what neglect, abandonment, and selfloathing can do to a person.
The way Tammy L, Gray inserted other literature into this novel was well done, In doing so, Gray allowed for Issys way of mind to be portrayed on a higher level, A level in which the readers could understand what Issy truly felt,
Something I disliked about the novel would have to be the multiple kissing scenes, With certain characters and scenes, the kissing was a vital part to the progression of the story you know what Im talking about if you have already read it, but I often wondered if the kissing was just a filler or if something could have been said in substitution of the kissing.
On a side note One thing I admire about Tammy L, Gray, she does not soften the punches when it comes to showing the heartaches some people go through when abusing substances, Some people only see alcoholics or junkies, when sometimes there is more to the story than just an abuse of drugs and alcohol.
This was another wonderful read my Tammy L, Gray. This isn't a genre that I'd normally pick to read but this author created interesting characters in book one of this series that intrigued me.
There is a strong element of Suspense in this book, too, that kept me from setting it aside when the immature antics of its young female protagonist annoyed me.
She vowed never to love
One would hardly see a threestory mansion, unlimited bank account, and highend clothes as a prison.
But to Kaitlyn “Issy” Summers, her familys opulence only represents pain, betrayal and fear, To deal with her heartbreaking past, Issy finds multiply ways to selfdestruct and harden her heart from ever being hurt again,
He vowed to make her his
Grant Forester wouldnt give up on the woman he has loved for years.
He could see past the anger and bitterness to the wounded girl in need of healing, He had the secret to freedom if she would only trust him,
But when darkness and deceit surfaces, their ability to choose may become nothing more than an illusion,
Shackled Lily is the second book in the Winsor Series, but can be read as a stand alone novel, Really this book is a,stars. I am in love with Tammy L Gray, Really her books are a amazing, Lizzy had to move in with her father because she almost died from alcohol poisoning, As time goes on her life goes back to partying and drinking, Then there was Grant. Her father assistant who was in love with her from their beginning, Once her father sold her to a man she hates, she is desperate to run away, Can she finally find her freedom Can Grant and Lizzy finally find happiness Can Christ do the healing that Lizzy needs, This book was amazing. I shed so many tears for the lost Lizzy, Her life goes to bad to worst can she finally find her peace in Christ alone, Can she finally find freedom from her father and his shady deal, If you haven't read any of Tammy L Gray books you need too, Her books are not only romance but faces really and sad situation that many of us faces, Bad relationship with parents, love and lost, and struggling with finding a relationship with Christ, I highly recommend this book or any books by her, I hope you read and enjoy!! Rating, stars
disturbing. horrifying. eyeopening. her father was just inhumane, not to mention Robbie.
Lost a star and half since I didnt like the romance, Grant seemed a bit too much like Robbie imo, . . Shackled Lily by T. L. Gray is the second book in the Windsor Series and I will say my favorite thus far,
I couldn't put this book down, I truly enjoyed reading about Kaitlyn and her on going life along with her stupid selfish decisions, As I read this book I see where I could have easily have made the same choices with her drinking habits, boys, and carelessness for everything around her.
Once again, T. L. Gray does not sugar coat anything, under age drinking, nudity and inappropriate situations implied, Yet, while all of this depressing junk is happening there is a small light, she has two Christian friends that attempt to help her and love her anyway.
Now the author does not confuse this with encouraging Kaitlyn but her friends are there for her when she needs them,
I can see how many people might not like this book because of it's truth and real life reality of young college students.
This stuff happens, it's not a joke, and T, L. Gray has a done a good job of portraying the reality and showing how people can change, even in the worst situations,
While the ending seemed rather rushed, this book is my favorite, I personally like it more so than Shattered Rose,
I recommend for older teens and adults,
"I received this book from the author for free in exchange for an honest review, "
This book was VERY hard to put down, It was much more gritty than the first and there were elements that were a bit unbelievable but again, I just couldn't put it down.
Issy and Grant's story is definitely one of redemption, Spoiler and trigger warning: alcohol/substance abuse and human trafficking are dealt with heavily in this story as well as promiscuity as a means of coping with brokenness.
It's definitely not your typical CF plot but as
someone who didn't have a squeaky clean past before Christ, it's very accurate of what life in the lost world is like for so many people.
I will be reading the final book in the series as well, .
