Capture Bought For The Greeks Revenge Narrated By Lynne Graham Disseminated As Paper Copy
the silliness! This is cute, The main characters already knew each other, It's a good story and not a long one so it's perfect for taking on the bus or to the doctor's office, Started with a bang then became underwhelming, I blame the hero. He went from badass to squishy too soon, The angst factor fizzled as a result,
Disappointing LG'sbook was a dud, Bedded for the Greek's pleasure!
Ella Palmer has neither the money nor the connections to warrant the interest of Nikolai Drakos's archenemy, Yet the unassuming beauty has done just thatand claiming her will be Nikolai's ultimate satisfaction!
The ruthless tycoon will use any means necessary to ensure Ella's compliance, so he buys out her family's debts.
Debts he'll forgive if Ella becomes his mistress, But when he discovers the true extent of her innocence, Nikolai is forced to consider something new it appears the indomitable Greek is about to take a bride!
Congratulations, Lynne Graham, on OVERMILLION copies sold worldwide with Harlequin! Pity it's not MoC and SaM themes.
My fave theme. sitelink
But I like Ms Graham this time, the plot is unusual then her others book, The hero is better. and the heroine is tougher, not lame like her previous' stories, . .
I'm not even sure how to review this book, I've read a lot of Harlequin Presents and they are all pretty much the same formula, but some of them are fun reads that I can usually devour in a few hours or a day at most.
Not so this one,
Ella is the typical innocent, big hearted girl who is persuaded into a relationship by Alpha male Nikolai who is trying to save women from the evil Cyrus, because Cyrus caused harm to his sister.
cough cough, SNORE .
This book took me days to read because there was just no action, There was no drama. There was no heat or spice or anything to make me want to keep turning the pages,
Ella was easily manipulated by Nikolai and then boom they are both in love and yada yada yada, Cyrus gets what he deserves and HEA, That's pretty much it.
Sadly not worth the time it took to read it, It was free, okay And it ticked all my trashy, tropey boxes, And it was awful. Okay It was awful. Hero was Too Masculine To Feel and Heroine was Too Damn Stupid To Live, But I love my tropes okay I won't apologize for that,

I really enjoyed this fast paced story by Ms, Graham. I have to admit that Harlequins are a nice change of pace, They are fun, sweet and pure entertainment,
I found Ella to be a very likable character, She stayed true to who she was throughout the whole story, Her family was her weak point because she loved them so much she would do anything for them and in fact she did, She agreed to be Nikolais mistress to wipe their debt,
While Ellas love for family is important in a way so is Nikolais, He wanted revenge for what was done to his sister, This has put Ella in the middle of said revenge,
Ms. Graham gave Nikolai a heart of ice but it soon melted by just having Ella in his life, She gave him love and sunshine, It made him seem more believable and real, Ms. Graham gave both these characters a human side that was real and easy to relate to, I liked the journey from America to London and eventually to Greece,
This story was not only light and fun but refreshing, To me I liked the simple story and magic when these two fell in love, The sex was hot with plenty of implied steam,
I think this would be a great read for the beach, Or if you arent planning a trip to the beach it is perfect to just grab your favorite drink and relax in your favorite spot, This is a great story to unwind from a rough day, she is a means of revenge A fairytale in true harlequin style! A great read! What a tale! Graham has definitely created a romance that allows every reader to live the fairy tale ending.
Graham is a very visually descriptive author, Shes an author who takes readers out of their everyday and invites them for a walk on the other side, I will admit that this novel had a bit of an over the top premise, but the author really makes it work, allowing readers to live the fairy tale.
There were sooo many secrets in this novel, The tension that they created added to the complexity of the relationship between the main characters, as did their need for honesty, Ella and Nikolai were definitely a case of opposites attract, and in a big way, The dynamic between them was ever changing as they were trying to find their centre, yet it was fantastically well written, I enjoyed how Graham presented and developed these two and how their relationship was anything but easy,
This was a great read and a brilliant choice for Grahamsth publication, The story was fun, romantic, with enough heat to keep you glued to the pages, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this to romance lovers everywhere,
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review, Bought for the Greek's Revenge is almost identical to sitelinkThe Greek Commands His Mistress but still fun to read, I didn't realize they'd be so similar or I would have spaced them apart a bit more,
I listened to this one on audiobook yay for Audible Romance Package subscription service! and just wanted to point out that the narrator can be annoying at times.
It's narrated by Antony Ferguson and when he's just narrating the story or speaking for the English characters, he's good, But when he's speaking for the Greek characters dear GOD, it's a hot mess, He sounds like a mix between Zoolander and Sebastian from A Little Mermaid, I really wish that he wouldn't bother with the accent because he's not good at it and he makes the dialog sound goofy, I was really excited for thisth novel, It was good but I felt it was constrained by the form and there was so too much backstory left unexplored,.stars
So I enjoyed this, The reason of H finally agreed to marry h was a bit weak, Accidental pregnancy and the H's reaction over it was a bit acceptable I guess, although I expected him to get angry or sth but he said he loved the h so maybe that excused the calmness he exuded when she told him she was pregnant a couple weeks after they got married when she knew a day before they were married.
Usually the H in HP world would throw temper tantrum over things like this but I welcomed the differences, Although it's kinda calmer that the usual revenge, accidental pregnancy, enemy to lovers tropes that HP usually adopt, I like this more than I thought I would I guess.
Didn't put too much expectation on this, Ending was okay withyear old son and a baby on the way, Oh and there were triggers in this with the H's and some other women being a victim of sexual assault by the OMVillain in this book, he almost raped the h as well but thankfully the H got to the scene and stopped the jerk from doing too much harm BOUGHT FOR THE GREEKS REVENGE is Lynne Graham'sth book! Wow.
. I have read a lot of her books and she is one of my fav Mills amp Boon's authors,
Nikolai Drakos and Ella Palmer's journey to finding their HEA was a fun and sweet trip,
A twist to the usual revenge trope, I found themc's likeable and engaging, Ella Palmer's weakness was the love for her family and the reason she agreed to Nikolai Drakos's blackmail to save them, However, she did show some spunk and I found the way she brought love and light to his life really nice,
Nikolai started off being a total cold and hardened man but Ella did something good for him and he slowly realized how much he had lost in his life with his bitterness and anger.
Well written, fabulous locations and engaging characters, the author has given us another enjoyable HEA,
PS . . Loved the tattoo that the hero had on his shoulder!!!! Huh This was actually good! I didn't think it would be any good,
The good narrator also helped, FAIRLY FLAT STARS.
I'm going to be very honest and say that I am a little disappointed with the failed drama in this book,
Ok I like no love LG drama!
It's normally spicy and hot,
But this one had very little to offer me,
The hero was a manwhore who manipulated the heroine at every turn for his own end,
And get this folks, it was all for the greater good,
It just happened to be what he wanted is all,
I have to say I have most, if not allof her HP books and they are all very unique, but this one was more of a rehash of other books with a little sprinkle of "respect for a woman's intellect card" for added variety.
Normally, in LG books, the heroines have some kind of learning difficulties or they are financial stressed and the hero is almost always the biggest manwhore you have ever seen.
This one is no different and the heroine even asked him how many women he has Fcked and he says "oh only a few, "
Wth!
So if she was to say the same you would just laugh right like she did!
Wrong, because of course she has to be pure while he is a whore.
Now, I love a virgin heroine or hero but not when the guy is a total ass about sleeping around and has no shame about it.
I am however happy that he has never been in love before, That makes some of his whoring more acceptable but not much,
I would recommend much better books from her but my favorites are always filled with ups and down, This one was just flat,
I wanted the ride!!!!
I feel let down a little,
Still a good little read but to me it was just blah!
Even the epilogue was dull,
So enjoy or skip! Bought for the Greeks revenge is who knows what number book I've read by Lynne Graham,
It's a fun cheesy romance with a bit of revenge obviously as the title says sometimes i need a bit of Harlequin in my life sometimes.
It's fun , easy , light and page flipping because sometimes it's nice to have a happy ending I have been a long time LG fan ever since I first discovered her books about ten years ago when I found her books in a UBS.
Prior to that I had been on an HP hiatus for some time, Imagine my suprise when I read her books and just about fell in love with her writing, the book I first read was The Spanish Groom, what a fantastic read that prompted me to get her entire back log and simply devour them.
So,this is my favorite HP author'sth book, that's an accomplishment, I have read them all with the exception of the " infamous duet", The majority of the stories I have loved, a few were so,so, This book was good, not great, but still it is way better than some of the newest authors who seem not to write stories that are fitted for the HPuniverse, call me old fashioned, but I loved the classic HP's which is the trademark of the line.
This is a "revenge" theme, but not the usual revenge,it is against the villian who five years previous had raped the H Nikolas sister and she later committed suicide.
The h Ella is just the pawn in the revenge game,
TheMC's had metyear earlier when she was a parking attendant for the night assisting her ex stepmother's friend event, The h had scraped the H's Maclaren and he was pissed, but not so much as to kiss her passionately and suggest a ons, The h,mourning the death of her fiancee, refuses and is in denial of her response to the sizzling kiss, All is forgotten till a year later and guess who comes back into the H's orbit, the heroine, seems that the dead fiancée 's uncle is none other than the rapist villian.
Hero plots revenge on the villian who the hero thinks that the heroine is becoming involved with or is the next target, Seems like the villian likes them young and innocent, but is the heroine a virgin, how can she beafter all, she was engaged and oh so beautiful.
But of course she is a virgin no matter how many times she suggest to fiancee,he declined of course,we find out later from the evil uncle villian, the fiancee was in a prior gay relationship.
So the hero comes to the heroine with a proposition, live with him formonths in London , and all her father's financial problems will be no more.
Of course there is resistance and the heroine comming off as a spitting kitten, but she soon capitulated and off to London, the makeover, and the fancy townhouse.
Naturally when they do the deed, yep, virgin, and great sex, the hero even stays for a while which is unusual for him as he is a runner.
After a rape attempt by the villian in the townhouse where the hero catches him and beats him to a pulp,he begins to feel remose for the revenge plan, people are getting hurt and it is becoming fatal as proved by the arson of his hotel with several employees hurt and one at death's door.
Hero proposes marriage, they go off to Greek island, meet up with long lost relatives again, pregnancy which is kept secret for a short time, misunderstanding ,and finally, the hero opens up about his terrible childhood, horrible parents and distant grandfather.
Make up where all is resolved and hea, Lovely epilogue where even the dogs have an hea with a pup,
This was a milder LG hero, but I liked him, When he told the heroine she will get "punished" oh ho,is LG dabling in some BDSM,but alas,no,just some sizzling sexy time, This one also had a tattoo on his shoulder, nothing badass, but a unicorn and rainbow to commerate his dead sister, okay, . . the sis had loved fairytales,
The heroine had some sass and spunk, but she calmed down by Bought for the Greeks Revenge's end,
I rate this between, and. LG has written some classics and she is a go to for me,so congratulations Lynne, books is an amazing accomplishment, .
