Got into the psychological aspects of victims and patterns of abuse, Some slow parts but I liked the characters, This was the first big paperback I read from this author, I loved her little romances and other authors I had tried did not make the transition well, so I was leery of it.
However, it was wonderful from beginning to end, The suspense was incredible, it had just the right amount of romance, but not so much that it was a romance in disguise.
And the bad guy was scary, I loved it! Carla keeps me up at nights

There was tension, and an uncertainty throughout the book over how much damage would be done, The comeuppance at the end was satisfying, This was a very good book just not supper good,
I enjoyed reading it and the things that went down were great,
I do love her books and all authors have one or two books that just is not supper great and this was one of them.

But it was not all bad I did enjoy this book but not as much as some of her out her books, I will keep reading her books and buying them.
