really really liked this book,
This was the Amish book I have been wanting to read full of beauty and struggle and love for the Lord,
It wasn't a fluffy lighthearted book that just danced on the fringes of Amish life, it felt like an emersion into the culture.
I enjoyed the view through Emma's eyes of the sameness of her life, the smallness of it at the beginning but as the story continued, she learned how full her life was and more than that how huge the Lord is and that nothing else matters but a relationship with him.
I didn't want Matt for her at the beginning, yes, I have that annoying habit, to some, of reading the end first, and I loved Ben.
Ben seemed perfect and I felt he truly loved her, but he was weak, Then Matt, oh, Matt what a match made in Heaven,
If you're ready for a good book full of solid characters and passages of beauty this is the one for you.
Enjoy, get lost and found! God Bless.
A wonderful book by Linda Byler, The story has a lot of twist nturns but, never dull moment, I found this book quite fascinating!
To me, I think it's an unusual story about the Amish, One I quite wouldn't expect,
I did love it though because of its uniqueness,
I don't really want to say what it's about but there's a character in the book that I absolutely couldn't stand! She's a spoiled little brat who makes things hard on everyone else and Emma certainly has her work cut out for her with this kid.
She's totally different than what Emma is used to, I guess you could call her a challenge,
I did not much care for the girl's parents either, Poor Emma!
I admired Emma a great deal, She certainly had her work but out for her, Emma is my heroine. I wish there were more people like her,
The scenery was certainly beautiful! I live by the ocean so I can imagine how Emma must have felt when she first seen it.
The waves have a certain musical sound, Soothing, relaxing among many other things, I appreciate God's creation even it's now,
God works things to His own timing and Emma's couldn't have been more perfect,
I like to think that God brings us out of our comfort zone for a reason and it is a part of His plans for us as Emma soon discovers.
I love this beautiful story of life changing events that took place in this book,
I always look forward to Bylers stories and this one didn't disappoint,
I finished it in two days because I wanted to savor the story, I hated to say goodbye to Emma,
I highly recommend this book,
My thanks to Netgalley, I was NOT required to write a positive review and all opinions are my own, Love in Unlikely Places is an Amish Romance novel written by Linda Byler, This is a remarkable story and the characters are very likeable, The storyline never stalls out but definitely keeps the readers interest, The cover will draw you into this story filled with love, family, and faith,
I enjoyed the character of Emma and my heart broke for all she suffers in the name of love, She gives up a ten year teaching job with her Amish community in search of something more exciting but what she finds is definitely devastating for her.
When she gets a taste of the outside world completely separated from her loving family she finds herself longing for home, When she is turned on by her employer Emma returns home and a life that is typical until it isn't, The journey Emma takes in search of love and her perfect man is anything but uncomplicated, The author has done an amazing job telling this story,
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review, I was not approached to post a favorable response, I have rated this story with five for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.
Congratulations to Linda Byler for writing another inspiring story for her readers enjoyment, Emma resigns from teaching school and leaves her Amish neighborhood to take a position of nanny to two children of an English couple.
Living on the beach in their rental home while their house is being built
next door, And surprise, Amish men are doing the construction and one of them is single and very handsome, And he seems interested in her, But are things what they seem What happened to the sweet little girl she met initially Can she keep her faith living in a completely English world
Love in Unlikely Places is a different kind of Amish story.
Which made it a very interesting read, As an Englisher reading this story, I wanted, at times, to tell Emma to watch out, Be careful. I cheered her on when she held firm about doing something else besides teaching, Knowing when it is time to move on is one thing, Actually doing it is quite another,
The pace of the story quite good, There are characters you will like and, oh boy, a couple you wont, The handling of the latter is nicely done, The portion of the book that occurs at the beach is what I would think someone who has never seen the ocean, never walked on the sand, never realized how fast one could sunburn Linda Byler nailed it.
A different read and a quite enjoyable one, And not what you get in a typical Amish story, Ill leave you to find out what “leftover blessings” are, It made me smile. Yes, I recommend Love in Unlikely Places,

LoveInUnlikelyPlaces LindaByler Love in Unlikely Places is an Amish romance by author Linda Byler,
Twentysixyearold Emma Beiler turned in her resignation as a teacher, It seemed she was destined to be single for the rest of her life,
Love in Unlikely Places had my head spinning, One minute I felt I was reading a great novel the next it sounded too secular for me,
Emma Beiler took a job as a nanny near the ocean, At first, the children seemed to be wellmannered, however, young Annalise was a disobedient spoiled brat, Would Emma be able to handle the children throughout the summer
I was living the tale vicariously through Emma, Although the setting was immersive, there were parts of the tale I felt uncomfortable with, The cover is welcoming, however, Love in Unlikely Places is quite a unique Amish tale,
I give Love in Unlikely Places/

I am not required to write a positive review and have not received any compensation, The opinions shared here are my own entirely, I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade CommissionsCFR, PartThis author has such a wonderful way with words! It was a great storyline and had such a happy ending! Too slow moving and too in depth for me.
Love in Unlikely Places by Linda Byler is a unique Amish novel, I thought the book was wellwritten with friendly main character, Emma Beiler is ready for a change, After spending the last ten years teaching and working her families produce fields in the summer, Emma wants to do something different, She is twentysix, unmarried, and has yet to become baptized, Emma would like a chance to spready her wings, When she finds an ad for an English couple who need a nanny, Emma calls them to apply, She would get to spend the summer at the beach in North Carolina looking after two children age two and four, I could relate to Emmas feelings regarding the ocean, It is calming and so peaceful, I enjoyed the authors descriptive writing that perfectly captured the beach and the vast ocean including the smell that salty tang in the air.
I felt bad for Emma who was being taken advantage of by her employers, They pulled a bait and switch, Hired her as a nanny and then made her a housekeeper too, Emma is out of her comfort zone, but we see her adapting, I had to laugh as she tried to figure out the coffee machine, Emma also gets to see a different style of parenting, She is unprepared for the little girls temper tantrums and how the parents cater to the child, Everything happens for a reason as we see in Love in Unlikely Places and we must wait for Gods timing not our own.
Emma learns some valuable life lessons in her journey and meets an incredible woman along the way, Emma pushed the boundaries thanks to her supportive parents they are also worn out thanks to their ten children, Love in Unlikely Places is unlike other Amish books which I appreciated, It would be great if Linda Byler did a story featuring Dena Beiler, Emmas younger sister, Love in Unlikely Places is a captivating and atypical Amish story with temper tantrum toddler, beautiful beach, a temperamental teen, a libidinous lady, and a matchmaking comrade.
