Inspect Commentary On The Old Testament: The Pentateuch, Volume 1 Penned By F. Keil, C.F.; Delitzsch Released As Ebook
have the complete set of these commentaries, given to me many years ago by an uncle when I started theological college, and would dip into them from time to time, usually finding them frustratingly literal and conservative, but this is the first time I have sat down to read one in its entirety.
Whilst that initial critique is still central, stubbornly so in the face of the critical appraisal of Biblical texts that was beginning to gather momentum at the same time this commentary doesn't even acknowledge such an initiative never mind bother to refute it I came to appreciate the breadth of scholarship and interests involved and whilst I still
fundamentally disagree with some of the principles and conclusions it was a good starting point for considering other dimensions thrown up by the text.
I however wouldn't recommend this to someone starting out on their theological training, This is an EXACT reproduction of a book published before, This IS NOT an OCR'd book with strange characters, introduced typographical errors, and jumbled words, This book may have occasional imperfections such as missing or blurred pages, poor pictures, errant marks, etc, that were either part of the original artifact, or were introduced by the scanning process, We believe this work is culturally important, and despite the imperfections, have elected to bring it back into print as part of our continuing commitment to the preservation of printed works worldwide.
