Enjoy For Free The Legion Of The Dead (The Invisible Detective, #8) Put Together By Justin Richards In EReader Version
so the stories of the invisible detective come to an end, . .
This is probably the most fantastic of the stories sorry cases of the invisible detective Brandon Lake.
Where as earlier entries where told in such a way as to leave you wondering as the series developed you realise there were far more fantastic forces at play here leading up to this book where really there is nothing held back.
The story itself is just as fast paced and creative as the earlier books with the story jumping froms to Modern times and back again with the two times being interlinked but at the same time facing their own problems.
I would say that this is not a stand
out story in the series which I think is a little bit of a shame as you would think the last book in the series would have gone out with a bang.
This time however it felt like just another book in the series which on one hand was a little disappointing also suggested that at some point in the future Justin Richards may choose to return and write some more strengthened by the last paragraph of the book which I will not spoil.
The series as a whole was great fun and wiring style both easy to follow and engaging the idea of using slightly different fonts to represent the two times really is a great idea and didnt hinder the story at all but allowed swift switching from one to the other.
The covers to this series were great representations of the stories and I think added to the atmosphere.
Now this is a series I would not have necessarily have gone out looking for however the fact I stumbled across a couple of the books in a local charity shop meant I was drawn in without realising.
