Explore Frontier Father Depicted By Dorothy Clark Presented In Paper Edition
good story, hardly a romance novel until right at the end, and not preachy, Really enjoyed this book. I love reading about the times of the pioneers, I don't know if I could have survived what they did, Love books that talk about dependence on God, Loved this book! Thanks to the author for sending me a copy of it! I love how the characters have both gone through the difficulty of losing their spouse and how both had to deal with it in different ways.
Mitchel was left to care for his infant daughter after his wife died, Over the past few years he has had to watch his child suffer with an unknown illness.
He needs a teacher for his mission school and help comes in the form of his close friend's sister, Anne.

She wants to ease the child's pain, but that would mean getting close to her and her father.
Little does she know how God will use her to become the answer to all their prayers.
In the midst of trouble stirring up, she has to lay aside her cold heart and learn to live again.
Through the deception that goes on at the mission and the mistrust of the Indians, both find a way to overcome the fear of loving another.
It's through the crisis of an Indian raid that they both realize what is important in their lives.
In the end Anne is able to feel alive and is drawn back to God through the tender care and attention of her family and Mitchel and Hope.
Great end to a great series! Frontier Father by Dorothy Clark
Mitchel Banning has been sent as a missionary to the Indians.
It's been tough. First his wife died and a few weeks later the man who came with him to start the mission.
It's been two years since then and now his beloved two year old daughter, Hope, has been ill and he fears losing her as well.
He is awaiting his friend William Allen to come and teach the Indian children in the mission school.
Only the widow Anne Sims shows up on his doorstep as the new teacher rather than her brother William.
Anne has stayed disconnected from people since her husband Philip and their daughter Grace died.
She believes if she keeps herself closed off she can never be hurt again, She is aggrieved to find that there is a toddler at the mission, a girl who is around the age Grace would be.
She struggles to stay away from the child and her father, Could it be that God has different plans for her life A God she know longer acknowledges since he took her loved ones from her.
I enjoyed this story, The interaction between the Indians and the Mission were not all prettied up but showed a real struggle and the differences in the cultures.
It has romance but also adventure and suspense,
These books are not listed as a series but they follow the same families and are connected.
This is theth book, Bookis Beauty for Ashes, bookis Joy for Mourning, bookis Family of the Heart and bookis The Law and Miss Mary and bookis Prairie Courtship.

The harsh life of the Oregon Territory took Mitchel Banning's wife from him, but it hasn't touched his faith.
The widower still dreams of building his mission into a shining light on the frontier for himself and his daughter, Hope.
But the work is too much for one man to handle, Could a Philadelphia lady be the answer to his prayers
After losing her family, Anne Sims' only wish is to keep busy and guard her affections closely.
Anne devotes her energy to Mitchel Banning's mission but she keeps her distance from Mitchel and Hope.
Only Mitchel can show her the joy of a second chance a new beginning and a new family, together.
I loved this book. Great characters, lots of action, a sweetyear old little girl, Two adults who learn to love again, Great
Book!! Not normally a genre I'd pick up, but this one was well written, Set in a mission in the Oregon Territory, this follows the story of a widow, Anne Simm's, and her new life.
Mitchel Banning is a widower with a toddler, Hope, and the child's existence is a source of great pain to Anne as she has also lost a child.
Watching Anne overcome her desire to keep Hope at arms length as she comes to understand that she feels something for Mitchel, was interesting indeed.
The shift from pain to love is well handled, and I don't regret picking up the novel.
The Randolph Family
Book
This is the final book in the Randolph Family saga.
It began with the parents twenty years earlier Justin and Lidia were brother and sister, Both had experienced tragic losses and had to find love again, Two of Justin's stepdaughters had their own stories, then two of Lidia's adopted daughters had their own story.
This last book was about Anne Annie,
Annie traveled on a Wagon Train to Oregon territory with her sister covered in book.
Annie experienced a tragic loss of her husband and daughter, When her brother, William, was no longer able to take the teaching job at the mission, Annie went in her place.
But nobody told her that the minister at the mission, Mitchell Banning, was a widower or that he had a young daughter the same age of what Annie's daughter would be, had she lived.
This book focuses on many things, Annie suffered at first at the sounds of the little girls' cries, The little girl suffered from some illness that was never disclosed, The Indians they were trying to witness to gave them problems, And they needed to see the doctor at the new settlement of Promise,
Mitchell falls in love with Anne through all this conflict, yet he cannot allow a relationship with someone who holds on to her past.
