sure where we got this, . . could it possibly have been one of Brian's books as a child Possibly, Twin brothers have red mittens and lose one, As word spreads, there house is quickly filled with returned red mittens until they create a Lost mitten closeline in their backyard, Sweet and simple now if I could just get Aidan's school to create such a closeline as well! So sweet, Community, kindness, sharing. Illustrations are beautiful. An underrated classic Too Many Mittens, by Florence and Louis Sloboskin, was first published in, A perfect read for wintertime, in my opinion, And who won't
be able to relate to this book If you or anyone you know has ever lost a mitten, read on, . .
This charmingly simple story is about twins named Ned and Donny who one winter find they are missing a red mitten, When word gets out of this, friends and neighbors start bringing over red mittens they've found, However, they soon have a plethora of red mittens and don't know what to do with them, . .
Not much to say about it, It was a cute and simple little story about community, with a sugary finish, I believe that the illustrated, Louis Slobodkin, also illustrated the classic children's book, The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes, The art style is very unique and well done, My rating/I read this many times as a child growing up in the sixties, A wonderful book. I was just cleaning out a cabinet and found my copy of this book, It was and still is one of my all time favorite childrens books, The story. The illustrations. I like everything about it!! Another favorite from childhood days at my grandparents, Ever lost a mitten in winter This story is a whimsical exploration of a family finding single red mittens, It's a story from thes,
The kids found this book amusing, The nephew rated itstars,
The red mittens standing out on the art page was fun, I enjoyed it. Everyone in town has heard how one of the twins lost a red mitten and now there are red mittens turning up every where, There are way more mittens than either of the boys could ever wear and they know someone else must be missing a mitten so they come up with a plan.
Two twin boys come in from playing in the snow and realise they have lost a mitten, They find it but word gets around they have lost one and soon they are inundated with lost mittens, Their Grandmother pegs them on the washing line and soon they are reunited with their owners,
Lovely, simple story with absolutely beautiful illustrations,
Read on open library, "almost as funny as Mr Putter" Though more than fifty years ago, the story and especially the illustrations are delightful,
Terrific for preschool children, How incredibly cute and sweet! Such a charming, oldtime story about a Grandma and some twin boys, . . and a whole bunch of mittens,
It's an old book and somewhat hard to find but if you can get your hands on it, it's well worth the search,

Charming and cute and sweet, This is an entirely realistic little tale about two siblings who lose a single red mitten, find it, but then are inundated with an endless amount of red mittens.
Everybody who finds a mitten assumes it is theirs and brings it to their grandmother's house while she, bewildered, accepts each one, Something about the way this story is told is just so quietly believable, The characters, strangely, are deeply fleshed out besides being barely brushed onto the page! Twin brothers have red mittens and lose one, As word spreads, their house is quickly filled with returned red mittens until they create a lost mitten clothesline in their backyard, Sweet and simple. .
