So my family was going on a road trip and we stopped at Deseret book or something, we found this.
We listened to it on audio book in the car, At first the voice bothered the heck out of us! But after listening to it for ten books, we all swooned over that voice,
These books are our family's treasure, We found it the summer we left the USA and left to live in Europe, We took a lot of car road trips in Europe as tourists and as locals and always listened to this series, Our family has favorite quotes from this series like from book nine I think, I remember we were in the car driving in Jordan going to Jerusalem on a trip, and Stephanie was narrating and she was fighting a super hot bad guy.
And all of the sudden she said, "I was all over that guy like honey on poo"
We all crack up when we hear that! Who knew what the author what thinking when he wrote that! What I mean to say is that even tho this book is full of cheesy sappy romance, adventure, and lessons about having faith, these books have brought my family together with stronger relationships and we are constantly happier.
Thank you Chris, I adore your dedication to the series and I can't wait to readand!!! They were great reads I liked them and recommend them entirely I love these books.
I listened to them growing up over and over and just recently listened to them again this summer, Great for younger kids to bring the Book of Mormon to life, Seriously cant say enough good about these books, I haven't posted on goodreads for a while because I've spent much of my reading time the last three months rereading the whole series before I read theth book.
It brought back great memories of reading to my kids and I enjoyed it all over again, Some of the books are worthand most were hard to put down, It's a testament to the author that even reading so many of his books in a row, I didn't get tired of him, I was very entertained up to the latest book and I eagerly await theth and final book of the series where he will tie up the numerous loose ends of which there are too many now.
That is my only complaint, And an added note, my daughter tells me that I need to read the two Zarahemla books because those will join up with this series.

While the author takes storytelling liberties incorporating the characters into the events, many times I have turned to the scriptures to read the passages the story alludes to and have lingered there.

loved this series sooo much, even though, there were some boring bits well, not really boring, i just wanted to find out what happened with other characters: i love apollus and gid n steph n pagag awesome characters, its great how every modern youth finds a love from the past and a great adventure,lol.

These books are some of the most interesting books I have ever read, They are full of adventure, action, intrigue, romance, history, religion, redemption, and much, much more, Timetraveling children, teens, and adults visit Book of Mormon and Bible New Testament and Old Testament times and even visit times during the early restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.
Honestly, these books have helped me to look at the Book of Mormon and the Bible in a new light less like a biography and more like a fiction book in the sense that it is told like a well written fiction book, not that they are madeup.
I have to say that my favorite characters have to be Megan and Stephanie, as well as their love interests, Apollos and Pagag, All of the heroines in this book are strong and independent physically and spiritually and are not merely content to sit back and wait for their knight to arrive.
They mostly save themselves, making the best of their surroundings and circumstances, The heroes of this story are also strong and independent, both in the physical and spiritual sense, I love how they go through times of trial and error, both in the world and within their souls, These books really show that you can repent and return to Heavenly Father, even when you feel that you are so far gone that you cannot be saved.
I can't wait until theth book comes out, I have officially read the whole series five times through, just recently finishing again a week or two ago, These books keep you hooked when your a first time reader and keep you coming back for more so that you read them over and over again, getting caught up in the characters lives all over again.
I would recommend these books to anyone who loves wellrounded books that are clean and exciting, especially people who would like to understand the Book of Mormon a little bit better and see it from more of the writer's and Nephites point of view.
