book is way past my understanding, A trifle frightening. Once past theth andth book and into PartThe Magic of the Israelites, comes understanding and wisdom,

Extremely in depth knowledge, Not a book for any beginner in any aspect or concept of Kabbalah knowledge or any other field of magical undertaking.
It is probably the first book of this genre I consider real and not to be played around with, I don't consider my self adept enough to even consider conjuring the angelic beings, If I waste their time I'm terrified I may end up a pile of ash,

This book/information definitely is not for everyone, It is Biblically based Old amp New Testament although Christ is a large part of the information, that surprised me.
However, the more I read and cross reference with the Bible, the better understanding I have of Biblical references, It's all there. The Church just does not see it, recognize it, or want its congregation to do so and that goes into politics and control not getting into that!

It would help to have a background in the Hebrew language.
Most angelic names I find difficult to pronounce if at all, Another hesitation. What if I call out and mispronounce the name and conjure up some Being I just as soon not For me, best to read at this point and leave the conjuring up to the Rabbi's.

Not recommended for everyone,
Not an easy or trifle read,
Not a book to be taken lightly, Translation is not good. The book is a mess mixed with English, Hebrew, Greek, Latin and other languages, Maybe so as not to be effective to the common people, But I still learned from the background story, Bits and pieces that I got, I dont believe these books is from Moses, This is from someone who deceives, Besides the biblical five books of Moses Pentateuch, there are other writings ascribed to Moses pseudepigraphically no doubt, The socalled Sixth and Seventh books of Moses in particular consists of a collection of texts which purport to explain the magic whereby Moses won the biblical magic contest with the Egyptian priestmagicians, parted the Red Sea, and other miraculous feats.
Many manuscripts and printed pamphlet versions had circulated in Germany, when Johann Scheible, undertook to collect the major variants, Scheible, an antiquarian from Stuttgart, published the first edition in German inas volumeof his Bibliothek der ZauberGeheimniss und OffenbarungsBucher, etc.
Subsequent revised and expanded editions were

supplemented with excerpts from writings on Jewish folklore and esoterica,

An English translation first appeared in New York in, and has been reprinted more than a few times without as far as I can tell ever being reedited.
The editors of the many English editions seem to have lacked Scheibles industriousness, but have instead been content with propogating any and all errors intact.
All the English editions thus far have consequently been deficient in many ways, with poorly executed drawings and Hebrew lettering, drawings printed upside down, mistakes in transcription and translation, passages censured and other substantial omissions.
All in all, English speaking readers have had an especially difficult challenge trying to make sense of this book,

In making this corrected edition I have drawn on the original sources, starting with Scheibles own revised and expanded eighth edition.
Additionally I have consulted the original sources drawn on by Scheible and his sources, namely the Hebrew Bible, Agrippa De Occulta Philosophia, Sepher Raziel, de Abano's Heptameron, Arbatel Of Magick, the Babylonian Talmud, and other cited authors.

This book has become quite influential in American folkmagic, and has been extensively used by the Pennsylvania Dutch hexmeisters, Hoodoo practitioners, and AfricanAmerican root workers.
I hope that this corrected edition will be of interest to those who have suffered with the problems of prior editions, and I welcome all suggestions.
