was gifted with a copy of Last Heartbeat to help me create the book trailer for T, R. Lykins. Thanks T. R. Lykins!!
I love romance, When I read a good romance novel it stays with me and lifts my spirits! This book did just that! Alexia amp Phillip are beautiful inside and out, I felt protective of them the moment I met each of them, and didnt want anything to come between their relationship,
Alexia is sweet and has a childlike quality about her but she is definitely not fragile, She lives everyday like it could be her last, and cherishes everyone she meets, Their love of the ocean seems to bring them closer, and I felt like I was with them walking bare foot in the warm sand,
Phillip is the boy every girl dreams about, Hes the bad boy gone good, I loved the way he cared for Alexia, the little things he would do to show his love for her, He isnt perfect, he makes some dumb mistakes but I dont like reading about characters that seem unrealistic, and we all know men arent perfect:
I did find a few spelling errors but it didnt slow me down or change my view of the story.
This was a good romance with two characters that will melt your heart, It was not a story about sex or a lot of drama, just a feel good romance that everyone needs to lift them up once in a while,
I recommend Last Heartbeat to all the romantics out there! I was gifted this book for an honest review, We've got Alexia that has overcome so much at her young age, Having to deal with a tragic illness can affect you in so many ways, Then she meets Phillip who has lost someone close to him at a young age that has affected to this day, I loved the characters in this book and what they bring to this story, This story is about what two people who love each other will go through and that in the end love will win out, This story was so beautiful and the different pov was really good and helped the story in the end, Yes, I cried who doesn't cry when the story affects you in some way or another in a different way, Author T. R. Lykins did an awesome job and I can't wait to see what she writes next, Give this book a try and I promise you'll not be disappointed in it at all,
I was lucky enough to have a chance to read an advanced copy of Last Heartbeat, I really enjoyed the read, Alexia Love this name! and Philip each have a very special story and share an incredibly unique bond, Last Heartbeat is an emotion filled ride, and I enjoyed getting to see both characters points of view throughout the course of the book, I also enjoyed the side characters, Philip's friends and Alexia's roommate were great side characters as well, I loved the time that Alexia and Philip spent at the beach, it definitely left me eager to take a trip to the sand! Fantastic debut novel! The Last Heartbeat is well written, kept me interested from beginning to end, and the characters were well developed.
Once I started reading, I could not put it down, I received an ARC copy for early review of this book as it is yet to be released, A very sweet about story about finding love in when you least expect it, Phillip and Alexias story had its up and downs but in the end they found their way into each others hearts to make the best of a very sad situation.
If you are looking for a sweet love story then Alexia and Phillip are it for you,
T. R Lykins did a really great job for her debut novel, Her writing took some getting used to but once you got your flow it was hard to not be invested in the story, I wanted to know what happened and if they get their happily ever after, The epilogue was the icing on the cake for me, It was nice to see where they all ended up,
I am excited to see her grow as an author and what other stories she has on the horizon, A sweet read that you must pick up and give a try, This was a really good story about a girl and a boy who meet each other by chance and like each other at first sight, They've both had their own personal struggles and neither are sure about getting involved for concern of what the other might think, They're in college and Alexia's roommate Kristen talks her into going to beach parties where her and Phillip keep running into each other, They also have a class together and a mean girl Megan is always showing up trying to come in between them,
I love the alternating chapters between Alexia and Phillip, Each one's inner dialogue as well as their outer dialogue is like a running journal of their worries and struggles, Neither of them tell each other what's holding them back but they're destined to be together, He calls her his 'blueeyed princess' which is really cute,
While listening to this I couldn't help but think my niece would like it, It's an overall neat story with light and sweet romance along with a powerful meaning and a heartwarming conclusion, I'd recommend listening to this one,
Andrea Emmes does an excellent job narrating this book, She does the alternating voices of both Alexia and Phillip AND the supporting characters, She again proves herself as a talented voice actor, Another great listen from both Andrea and the author T, R. Lykins.
Audiobook received in exchange for an unbiased review, Audible : Last Heartbeat on audio is fun and interesting as the Narrator changes her voice to suit the character she's reading to you,
Story : Last Heartbeat is an emotional tilt a whirl sweet romance, I was immediately attached to both Alexia and Phillip and felt a kinship to them, Both of their histories remind me of someone I love, It was an instant freeze for me, Either I'm going to love this story or hate it, Well, I absolutely loved it, Their stories and health issues were written with great care and tenderness, With the the ups and downs of the relationship my emotions went right with Alexia's, At times I wanted to knock some sense into Phillip, He had my heart though and Alexia's as well, This
story is a perfect story of love conquering all, Wow!!! I loved this story, From the beginning to the end it will keep you entertained, The characters both have had tragedy in the past and they have to overcome the past to finally coming together, It reminds me that love at first sight can happen and the storyline is unique, There isn't many stories about this subject manor out there, It is fresh and new kind of story that will have you cheering for these characters until the end, Even the ending has another twist you will not see coming, Loved this Debut Novel!!!!! Hope everyone else does too, This story was amazing. It kept me glued from start to finish and I even cried at the end, Well written a true young love, love story, Amesome job to the author and thank you for allowing me a chance to read an ACR, What a wonderful love story, You will fall in love with Phillip and Alexia just as I did, They fall quickly and they fall hard, But there are obstacles to overcome before they reach their forever, Have the tissues ready as many tears can be shed, This was the first book I have read by T, R. Lykins but certainly not the last, only cause there is no choice to give it more
This audible was given to me for my Honest review,

Please forgive if I spell the Names wrong I heard the story, I did not read it,
This is the story of life after life altering events, About living through the worst, and finding the best in life, Alexia is a heart transplant recipient, She has been given a second chance at life, She is not about to waste that chance, Starting with collage she will live life to its fullest, Phillip is a liver transplant recipient, He is on his way to collage and fate put him on the same plane as Alexia, Drawn to each other the two keep meeting, They are drawn together. Now while they both battle the same fears can they overcome them to find happiness together
This is a beautiful story, It will steal your heart I know it did mine, The heartbreaking moments had me in tears, The struggles the two go through just to find happiness brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart, I will forever hold a smile in my heart for this story, Romance is a genre that seems to be dominated by sex, Most books classified as 'romance' use their entire plot to get the main characters to sleep with each other,
T. R. Lykins Last Heartbeat is not like that, And I loved it.
There are some pretty heavy themes throughout this story and Lykins masters them with grace, Terminal illnesses, organ transplants a lot of authors would show their characters as they battled for their lives, But Lykins' Last Heartbeat doesn't focus on the battle during, It focuses on the battle after, This is what made Lykins debut novel so great and so refreshing, We get to see what Alexia and Phillip go through as survivors sometimes strong, sometimes remorseful, but always true to themselves,
Lykins' strength lies in her character interactions, The reader truly believes in the romance between these two, There are parts that make you want to cry, laugh but most of all
You start taking a look at your own relationships and wonder what you can do to make them better.
After all, we are only one heartbeat away from never seeing them again,
Overall, Last Heartbeat is a solid read, a sweet romance, and a story that grabs the reader and won't let go, Be prepared for the emotional response you have, because you will have it for days, I will admit, when I finished reading, I found myself thinking about life, My connections to my own loved ones,
Grab this book, Read it. Love it. But be warned: it won't let go easily, So happy I was able to get an ACR copy! Started reading amp didn't get a thing done until it was finished! Loved it!,
