Begin Your Journey With New X-Men, Vol. 1 : E Is For Extinction Planned By Grant Morrison In Electronic Format

so i wanted to start reading the xmen books, I don't wanna read the old and boring stories with boring art, . . i want something more modern, . . Of course i already saw the movies, watch some episodes of the animated tv show, saw a lot of videos about the xmen and also read a lot of things in the internet.
I even read some random books of the xmen, so im pretty familiar with the characters and some plots,

After a long and intense search i finally made a list of titles to read! So i decided to start with the new xmen.

About the book: It is what i was expecting! Really good for new readers, but not "in your face" type of information and not the boring and repetitive introduction of the characters and the team.
. . You don't feel lost believe me, Its an all new story and chapter of the xmen history, But its really important that you already know a little something about themain characters the xmen team present on the cover of the book.

The publication that i havepritting contains an extra at the end: "Morrison Manifesto", And its just an amazing read, Morrison is the man!
I know that theprinting don't have this extra, Instead contains the new xmen annual,

In my opinion this book is for everyone who are interested in the xmen! An amazing read, This was some heavy reading for sure as Morrison takes over the XMen and in a way it was great,

A new enemy named Cassandra Nova along with some Trask targets Genosha killing so many mutants, millions of them and well Scott and his team go after her and team up with Emma to go after her and subdue her in the most brutal manner as the world is changed forever and we discover who she is and what her relation to charles is and what she does to Beast.

Elsewhere we see things changing for Emma and Scott and a new relationship maybe emerging and also some great future revelation for Cassandra as she has taken over the body of Charles and after revealing her identity and all, she goes to space pretending to be charles and the chaos there in both situations is gonna be interesting to see.

Plus a cool short story where the New XMen recruit Xorn into their ranks and it was a high concept story involving John Sublime and some other chinese military and it was something to read but yeah Xorn is a XMan now.

Its a volume with a lot of revelations and can feel overwhelming for a first time read but since its my second it was easy to go through but then again feels like a whole lot of concepts and ideas and changes like Hickman when he did hoxpox.
The art was pretty cool and I like Quietlys art tbh so I didnt mind it that much, So good that you forget how stupid everyone looks, Въпреки суперлативите по адрес Грант Морисън, окултист и маг на хаоса както сам се титулувал, в биографичните бележки след края на

графичната новела, сценарият му не се оказа нищо особено. Артът на Франк Куайтли също беше средна хубост. Cassandra Nova has murderedmillion mutants, Now she has her sights set on The XMen! Xavier and his team of mutants have long dreamed of a time of peace.
But the time for dreaming is over, Now it is time to fight,

Collecting: New XMen, New XMenAnnualGood but, . .

The cosmic vision of Grant Morrison and the Xmen, and Morrison does not pull his normal metanarrative tricks, so why the low rating.
Conceptually,Morrison is doing a lot with Xmen but his characterization seems, well, off in ways even Whedon or Bendis or even some of thes edgierthanthou Xbooks don't feel.
Morrison doesn't seem to fully inhabit the characters although he does interesting things with them, We will see where he takes this, Hey, that was really good! I actually have read Joss Whedon's Astonishing XMen before this, so many events in this volume weren't as shocking to me as they should have been, but I still enjoyed reading this volume.
My only complaint is that the annual didn't make much sense to me, And what is up with Emma Frost's costume It looks absolutely ridiculous!
Anyway, I wanted to read another good XMen book ever since I finished Whedon's stellar run, and it looks like I have a winner here.
Hope the next one will be even better! What

That is pretty much the only thought going through my mind, Which is probably more than what went through the writer's mind when he spat out this nonsense,

I picked up this book as I heard from a few sources that it was a good jumping on point for modern XMen titles.
Is it No. Not at all. This is book is utter nonsense from beginning to end, I go into every book I read with an open mind, and even with that open mind I could not accept the garbage that this book has attempted to shovel into my eyes.

Despite me attempting to use this book to dive into the modern XBooks, I have read a lot of XMen, specifically the classic Claremont books and even some before that.
I know XMen well enough to know that this is not XMen,

Everything good or interesting about XMen is not present in this book, The interesting characters Gone. The questions of mutant rights and there place in the world Gone, Instead, what we get is a spoiler old lady version of Professor X who takes over Charles Xaviers mind and proceeds to attempt to exterminate the mutants.

The way she goes about this is sending a fleet of sentinels that look nothing like sentinels to the island of Genosha, where the "sentinels" nuke the place, essentially.

This is a good idea in theory, however if we are to assume that this is where a lot of people are going to start reading XMen for the first time, shouldn't they have spent some more time explaining what Genosha is or why we should care that it got nuked

It's not like the characters care considering Beast literally picks up a mutant's skull and starts making jokes.

What stands out the most is the awful designs for the characters, Scott and Wolverine look like they belong in a homoerotic Japanese anime, Emma Frost and Jean Grey look likeyear old girls and Professor X looks like he's pushing.

Like I said previously, the costumes are also gone, replaced with jackets that have X symbol on them,

This book is a laughable attempt at writing an XMen story, and pales in comparison to even the worst's XMen books./
