Capture Home To You Narrated By Robin Kaye Shown As Script
to You I received a print copy in exchange for an honest review from Berkley, Home to You is a slow moving romance that you curl up on the couch with on a quiet day, Jack and Kendall are characters both flawed and perfect in their own way, Their relationship is one that brings to light questions of a persons past mistakes and the way a person is shaped by their years in the past.
Jack and Kendall both have their own secrets and their own pains that have shaped them to get them to where they are when they meet.
Both Jack and Kendall have to go through a few trials to overcome and cope with both together as their lives blend.
I really like the slow building plot and the slow creation of their relationship, I thought Robin handled both characters with respect and does as much for the readers, I enjoyed the read and Robin's skillful writing, Kendall Watkins is having the mother of all bad days, Her boyfriend of a LONG time broke up with her and then moved across the country and now her car is kaput.
In a snowstorm. But, luckily, she's rescued by a handsome stranger, Or is he
Jackson Sullivan III is in hiding, recovering from a head injury that robbed him of his preternatural ability with numbers.
He's licking his wounds at the family cabin, not expecting that a gorgeous woman would tumble into his path, . . and his heart.
Soooooo Kendall dates a guy for a superlong time and then falls for the next guy she meets, Who seems to know her parents very well but somehow the two don't know each other An okay story but really only a two and a half star book for me.
Am anxious to read the book about their friends though, . . A wellwritten, solid and heartwarming romance between two very warm characters, this journey is another win by Robin Kaye, Jax and Kendall have both had major lifechanging tragic events shake them to their cores, and their journey slowly brings them each back to physical and mental health.
The proximity of a secluded cabin accelerates their attraction, and they share some pretty hot scenes, Beyond their sizzling chemistry, they share great senses of humor and positive attitudes about their new futures, Their separation is long and their final reuniting is unfortunately rushed, but I loved all the rest of the book,
I enjoyed her "Domestic Gods" and "Wild Thing" series over the past few years and was excited to see this new one at the bookstore.
It is not clear if this series will continue, but Jaime and Addison's story, a side
romance in this book, had an intriguing start but needs its own book too.
After experiencing lifealtering changes, both Jax/Jack and Kendall escape to their small hometown, Neither one want anyone else to know they are there, They knew each other as children, having last seen the otheryears ago, Both end up at the same cabin,
This was good. Both have secrets and realize the life they had didn't fit either of them, Jax does omit who he is at the beginning, Kendall didn't recognize him. She gets to know him as Jack, His name is Jackson, but was always known as Jax, I understood why he did as he did, Both characters were likeable and had good backstories, I also could see how they fell for each other, then giving each other space, I was a little disappointed at few of the secondary character's storylines: Addie and Jaime, There is something there, but was very unresolved, Home To You is one of those books that draw you in from the very first page, the kind of book that has you losing track of time as you become absorbed in the story of Kendall and Jackson 'Jack'.
I really enjoy stories that feature two people shut away and isolated in a cabin, add in the fact that Jack hasn't exactly been honest about his identity to Kendall letting her think that he's just a roofer not the millionaire businessman he really is and whom Kendall seems to have a problem with referring to him as the Grand PoohBa.
Kendall arrives at the cabin to get away after losing her job and fiancee in the same day, add to that her car is damaged on the drive up to the cabin, she's really not having a good time of it, Jack is hiding away after an accident that has left him with a brain injury that affects his ability with numbers, from telling the time to counting, seeing as his job is in finance he can't let this news get out lest he risk losing a lot of clients and a whole lot of money.
Being alone together the chemistry is intense and in no time at all they find themselves giving in to the attraction, but real life will come knocking when Kendall discovers Jack's true identity can she ever forgive him
This was such an entertaining and fun read, the characters were really likeable and I'm hoping that the next book will focus on Jamie and Addie, and to discover the secret that Addie's hiding which I have an idea about.
A fantastic start to an all new series, I'm happy to have Robin on my radar,
Boring, so not like her previous books, Loved it!! Was so happy when I realized that this was Jax's story Rocki's brother from Had to be You, Kendal and "Jack" work great together and their story is terrific! Loved the secondary characters of Addie and Jaime, Hope they get their own story, I definitely recommend this one! Book Description,
"From the awardwinning author of the Bad Boys of Red Hook series, a new novel about finding love where you least expect it
Jackson Sullivan III has always lived up to his uncles expectations, until his career is sidelined, leaving him lost and in need of a retreat to his familys cabin.
But his solitude is interrupted by a beautiful visitor whose combative feelings about the Sullivans lead Jax to a surprising declaration: he pretends to be someone else.
Though she hasn't seen the privileged scion since she was a child, Kendall Watkins hates everything Jackson Sullivan represents.
She should know: her parents have managed the Sullivan estate for years, In need of her own peace and quiet, she heads to the cabin, never expecting to come face to face with the most handsome man shes ever met.
Soon stranded by a violent noreaster, Jax and Kendall end up sharing more than they dreamed, But Jax knows that when the storm clears, his true identity will be revealed, and Kendall will be left with a betrayal that may be too great to forgive"

What I liked about this novel.
. .
What was there not to like in this story of Kendall and Jack in the author's new series This author gives us a sweet story of two people in Harmony, New Hampshire with one hiding his identity.
Now, why was that We find that both of these two people had some real problems of there own, What will happen when they come together and there seems to be intense chemistry between the two however, when the truth comes out and Kendall discovers who Jack really is what happens next.
I liked how this author was able to give the reader a rather intensed story that will keep you turning the pages to see what will go on next for these two.
The hero and heroine in this story were very fascinating and interesting that will keep you turning the pages where you will find that each one of these characters have some wounds that needs are in need of some help.
Will they be able to get this from each other after all is said and opened I did like the way this author presented them sharing with one another especially at the beginning when they really didn't know that much about each other
but as things progress will there be issues secrets that gets in the way of their relationship "Home To You" was definitely a read of two people who had gone through and had some hard blows in their life's.
I did find the read rather slow paced at times that left me wondering about that, however, I could see how this author was building the plots and creating this relationship.
By the end these two characters will have to make some very important decisions and with saying that you the reader must pick up this good read to see for yourself just what that decision will be for these two.
I've picked this one up and put it back down several times over the past couple of weeks, . . Just can't get into it : DNF for now but I may try again at a later date, ORIGINAL POST: sitelink com/

No Remuneration was exchanged and all opinions presented herein are my own except as noted,
Other than Kendall being a little to naive for a counselor/social worker she apparently never had to take a human sexuality course and a few other technicalities that felt fluffy, I enjoyed the story behind this romance.
The idea that really, really got me is that a man just over a head injury bad enough to require pressure relieving cranial surgery, an induced coma and cause severe loss of math and numbers would be okay to stay alone on a mountain and work on a roofing project without a helmet or supervision.
It was not as if the even had happened months before it was fairly recent,
Given her history of one nearly asexual, boyfriendfiance I would expect Kendall to be naive in the bedroom, but it doesnt jibe with her counseling history nor her penchant for romance novels.
But the romance that develops, as much for her good cooking in the kitchen as in the bedroom, is off the charts hotpockets!
I liked the narration of this short novel.
Sometimes the reader sounded as if she might “Hab a cowd” which can become annoying because I want to give the reader a tissue and a decongestant, but it wasnt too obvious and wasnt complicated.
The New Hampshire accent was a little more South Boston than New Hampshire, but it did offer a little flavor to the snowy scene.
With its wintry overtones, it was a good way to pass the last few wintry days at home as I worked on a painting project.
It was so engrossing I hardly noticed I had been working all day,
Its one of those romances where its sexy enough that you want the characters to get together and can ignore most of the technical flaws.
I could see enjoying the wintry chill and hot cabin nights on a warm summer day just as easily as I could inside in chilly weather.
