isnt normally a genre in which I read, however I was looking for something a bit different and this one sounded interesting, Initially I did struggle because it was written in the first person, and as a result there was a lot of introspection and monologue on behalf of the characters, which felt as though I was half being talked at and half lectured to, but once I got into it, the flow improved and I became used to the authors writing style.
I believe that including more dialogue would help immensely in the next books, particularly if they are to be written in the same POV, But dont let that detract or put you off the book, its worth getting!
The story itself is great, very interesting with good characters and some good humour, and of course a kickass feisty heroine with an equally strong and gorgeous love interest, which provides the romantic tension.
Its well written and professionally put together and Im looking forward to seeing how the story continues in the next books,
An interesting firstperson story about Jael, a nephilim who has lived a hard life as a result of growing up with an absentee mother and not knowing her father.
She goes to a special school for halfhumans like her, When we are initially introduced to Jael, she has a crush on one of her school mates but as time goes by, we get to met Eli, a Prince of the Seelie Kingdom, with whom she has instant chemistry with.
Even though Eli knows that Jael is his soulmate, he can't reveal this to her because of an agreement he has with Archangel Gabriel, He must make her fall in love with him and he hasdays to do this or he will have to marry his betrothed, Alyssa, whom he has no romantic feelings for.
Will he succeed in winning her heart

While I don't normally read stories like this, I was impressed by the author's imaginative descriptions, I also found myself rooting for Jael and Eli, There is a bit of a twist in the story which gave it a nice touch, It also ends on a cliffhanger,
