graphic novel based on Herman Melville's MobyDick, I can now say that I've read Moby Dick this series of Scholastic graphic novels of classics are fantastic.
Struggling readers have a lot of graphics to look at, without the intergrity of the story being compromised.
Booorrrrriiiiinnnngggg! It's a book/ graphic novel about a boat and a whale! I picked this graphic novel up because it was short and I needed to fill a spot on my bingo card for the adult summer reading program at my local library.
I was pleasantly surprised with how good this graphic novel was, It was simple, sure, but it condensed Moby Dick down into something that is easy to understand.
I think this is a fantastic way to introduce classics to kids and adults alike, An okay way to share a classic with a class of reluctant readers, I read this book because of a bet, I thought it was alright, but not really great,
