MOMENTARY LAPSE is the second book in the One Moment series, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance, as I liked it much more than book! Cole and Madison started off on this decadently erotic one night stand, but fate has them meeting again, Cole offering to help Madison by moving his sister in as a roommate.
The chemistry even had my Kindle begging for a post coitus smoke, it was just that potent!

I adored Madison she's totally not what she seems but lacks the courage to step outside her comfort zone and stand up to her mother.
She can finally be herself with Cole, and he encourages, endorses and shares her sexual proclivities, Cole was a bit of a bastard, constantly judging Madison for the circles she ran in, I get that he was wronged by the wealthy, but to be so distrustful based on something his asshat uncle did years ago sucked for her.
The writing and editing were well done, and although the story wasn't particularly unique, it was still a hot read by an author I'll look for in the future.

Bringing us to his second flaw, Madison caught him cheating on her and she tells him it is over, She then runs out to stay at the very hotel she caught him at, Morbid Yes! She know it is, But she just wanted revenge maybe, She goes down to the bar orders a drink when she catches the eye of a Cole Langford, Not of the rich side of the Langfords he wont claim them, So dont even try and lump them, He wont have it. Anyway, he doesnt like the rich but there is something about Madison that is different, She is shy, mannered, unsure, yet bold, beautiful, and scared all at the same time, Which totally captured him which in itself angers him,
When she almost falls off her chair he is there to catch her, He has no plans to bed her those days are behind him, Yet, he cant seem to turn away from this one, But he is torn for he know he has his sister who is about her age who has physical therapy to do and so much more from an accident that had killed their mom.
She has overcome a lot but he has a chip on his shoulder and the rich side of the Langfords to thank for that since they wouldnt help when his sister needed them.

Won this in a giveaway, was definitely a great read, Thankyou I read a lot of historicals and contemporary books rarely catch my interest, This one did. In a big way. From time to time while I was reading this, I would run into the kitchen and open the freezer door just to cool off my eyeballs.
Talk about sizzle! This book is really hot from beginning to end,

Though the tale is very steamy, this one has a delcious bit of wit, The main characters were very compelling and realistically written, I also enjoyed the way the side characters had a refreshing bit of depth to them, They have stories of their own and aren't just there to move the plot along, I especially loved Cole's little sister, Jess,

The book takes place in Maryland, Ive lived in Maryland and she seems to know her stuff because the setting and the little details were very authentic.
Best of all, Im a plotty person the plot bubbles along nicely, while never being predictable which is always a hit with me!

And it's hot as hell! Did I mention that From the first chapter all the way to the last.

Having read bookwhich is Marcus and Abby's story, I was delighetd to get a chance to read another in the series.
Ms Strawn has a good turn of phrase, and deals with interesting issues head on, Her characters have looks and brains, and will change their views if given enough prodding!

This installments pitted two fundamentally similar, yet superficially different people against each other but with

a level of chemistry that neither had the strength to resist.
Cole is in business with Marcus from 'Moment of Weakness' and Marcus is supportive when needed, although he doesn't feature in the book otherwise.
Cole has a huge chip on his shoulder, and it takes a lot to get him to rethink his opinion of anyone who has grown up entitled.
Therefore when he meets the very beautiful, society belle Madison things get interesting,

We read the story from both their viewpoints, and so can see the car crashes as they pile up but also know that they are two really decent human beings, who need to catch a break! The side characters such as Logan and most definitely Jess, Cole's sister, are great, and Madison's mother is easy to visualise if you have ever watched Cruella de Ville! at least that is who I saw her as!

Some lovely funny moments, some sad ones, and some very, very hot ones.
This is a good read, and I am now looking forward to the next one in the series!

sitelink Id preordered Momentary Lapse, the second book in the One Moment series, after enjoying the first one so much and when it burned its way onto my kindle I wasnt disappointed.
It is a hot, hot read and yes, I was expecting that, after Moment of Weakness, but I think I enjoyed this story even more than the authors debut.
I felt the novel was even more polished, the writing flowed beautifully and the plot was well thought out,
The emotional depth of the main characters was extremely well developed and I found myself drawn into their love story, right up until the final page.
The author has a knack for building strong, real characters and all her secondary characters are interesting enough to deserve their own books.
I look forward to seeing how Ms Strawn surprises us with the next instalment in this spicy series,
