Years later Tanner Johns, the boy Burt took in, inherits Burt's ranch with the condition to turn it into a place for runaways and/or abused children.
In comes Sophie Armstrong and her two children, Sophie is hardly making ends meet with her catering business, Tanner is struggling too as he tries to turn the ranch into a heaven for street children,

Tanner and Sophie helped each other out, become friends, fight their mutual attraction and ironed out some of the pain in each other's pasts.
There is guilt and pride and lack of trust, Tanner's past, as expected, has some violence in it, as well as bad decisions with unwanted results which of course come back to threatened Tanner.
But the good guys prevailed and we get our happy ending,

I'm enjoying these stories, As a christian I appreciate faith being an important part of the story, I read enough dark, too realistic, faithless books and once in a while it is good to take a break, A Home for His Heart 

All Tanner Johns ever wanted was a place to call home, After inheriting Wranglers Ranch, Tanner is determined to carry on with his guardian's legacy and turn it into a camp for troubled kids.
Widow Sophie Armstrong is just as focused on her goalsand on raising her two young childrenalone, Meeting the rugged cowboy changes everything, Tanner is a natural with her kids, and he lightens Sophie's load in ways she couldn't have imagined, But as the shadows in his past come between them, Tanner must convince Sophie he's a man she can count onfor keeps, I really enjoyed The Rancher's Family Wish, I found Tanner to be really a great character, He has had a hard life being abandoned as a newborn by his birth mother, in and out of foster care, plus living it ruff on the streets as a teen.
He was such a caring man, giving away money or meals to the needy or homeless people as he knows how they feel as he was once in their shoes.


All throughout the book, you can tell he desperately wanted a family to call his own as he never had one plus he craves the approval of Sophie when he does things or makes decisions.
Tanner was pretty smitten with Sophie from the start pus he was so good with her children, I liked how Beth called him ' Mr Cowboy' all throughout the book,

A short readpages but a very good one, none the less, Definitely worth the read if you like heroes who are down on their luck, gets a second chance to better his life, plus craves the love of a good woman and family.
