Attain Thursdays Child (A Day To Remember #4) Illustrated By Linda Lee Chaikin Conveyed As Booklet
started off slow for me, but once we hit midway and Paulette made her way to Egypt, things picked up.
She was a hard character for me to read and like, Her trust issues were deep even though I understand where she was coming from,
All in all, this was a pretty good read : This book took me a while to read, because it took me a while to actually start enjoying it.
But about half way through I actually started to really like it, and I wish that it would've been a little longer.
Another wonderful book by Linda, All her
books are so different, and still all so awesome,
This book is an historical book with a subtle but powerful message about trust, When Paulette marries Garret Holden, she's certain their love will last, Their first year is exciting and romantic until tragedy strikes, They suffer a bitter separation, and Paulette blames Garret, Then her uncle sends word from Greece that Garret has been shot and is hunted by German agents, When Paulette sets out on a perilous journey to find him, Hitler's army is ready to storm Athens, "Thursday's child has far to go" in her search for her husbandand her own journey, Leaving a place of safety, Paulette puts herself into God's hands to reconcile with the man she's promised to love foreve Set in.
Paulette's quick marriage to Garret Brandt brings mystery and adventure, "Thursday's child has far to go" Enjoying this series because it is different, It is not following the same characters from book to book but is set around the historical setting of WWII.
Another Chaikin novel about spies, secrets and mistrust, I liked Paulette and her determination to find the truth, This series is good, although some of the books are so formulaic that they start to all sound similar by the time you have read the fifth one.
. . still I wish there were a Saturday and Sunday's child books to finish out the "week", Linda Chaikin is a Christian fiction author with a focus on historical fiction, She sometimes publishes using the name sitelink L, L.
