Begin Your Journey With The Vicar's Bride (The Montgomery Family Series, #1) Produced By Natasha Lockhart Issued As Digital Format

hero and heroine in this story were wellmatched, Henry is a man stuck on the border of dependence/independence, He finds the woman he loves first, Then, he does what he has to do be worthy of her love, The inner turmoil the he experiences shows his kindness and strength, He really shined when he addressed his father's extended grief and the village's attitude toward young Adelaide,

All the traditional elements of a historical romance are here balls, elegant dinners, and one unforgettable night at the opera, This was a good story with likeable characters that I look forward to reading more about,

Sensual scenes Yes, they're there, Good story about a man of the cloth and his wife This was an interesting weekend read, Two young aristocrats fall in love, marry, and move far away from both their families, Henry is the younger son of a marquess and Sarah is the daughter of the youngest son of a duke, Their love was believable and their strength of character was solid, Both of them were good people, I appreciated reading a historical romance where the hero and heroine were honest and silly misunderstandings didn't fuel the plot, The heroine's grandmother is a hoot!

There are explicit intimate scenes, but they're tastefully done in my opinion and occur at precisely the moments they should occur.
Great new author! Sweet story! I like this book, It has a hero with a strong moral code and a kindhearted heroine, The Montgomery family is delightful! The dowager duchess quite frankly steals the spotlight in every scene she's in,

Lord Henry is a man who's coming into his own his own profession, his own income, and his own home, My mom would say he put the cart before the horse, in that he meets the girl he wants to marry before he has the means to support a wife.
His dream girl, Sarah Montgomery, is a vicar's daughter which works out perfectly for him, He wants to be a vicar,

This book covers their courtship and the first year of their marriage, The minor characters enrich the story, There is a subplot involving an abused/neglected child, No violence against the child appears in the book, The little girl and Henry amp Sarah get their happily every after, Good historical romance! I enjoyed this book, Sarah Montgomery has spent her entire life in a cottage on her uncles estate, At nineteen yearsold, shes expected to marry and thus secure her future, Sarah is perfectly content with her life in rural England, but after considering whats in her best interest, her parents and grandmother have decided to launch her into the marriage mart.
Before she journeys to London, a family wedding disrupts the plans for Sarahs first season, Sarah never imagined a simple introduction to one wedding guest could alter the course of her life, The only man shes ever wanted has no means to support a wife, How can she fulfill her duty without betraying her own heart and the man she loves

As the younger son of the Marquess of Belmonte, Lord Henry Garrick faces an uncertain future.
Unlike his older brother, he must choose a noble profession in order to provide for his future family, His father wants him to join the army however, free to choose his own destiny, Henry has chosen faith over fighting, When he crosses paths with a beautiful young woman in the English countryside, he discovers the one person who makes every mountain worth climbing, Neat story! The grandmother is my favorite character in this series, Her zingers are everything. At times this book is a little preachy, but it's about a vicar so, . . I like the hero and heroine, They are wellmatched. I loved the minor characters as well, They added to my enjoyment of this book, Nice historical romance. This hero is neither rogue nor rake, Henry is one of the good guys, and good guys do not finish last, It was a treat to see Henry and Sarah set up their home and start their life as a married couple, A lot of historical romance books spend most of the book letting the hero and heroine engage in a catandmouse chase and then end with the wedding,

Sarah is a good girl, She's softspoken when she needs to be and snarky if the occasion requires a little more oomph, I could relate to her in so many ways,

This would make a nice Christian romance book if a clean version without the sex scenes was published, Not that I minded the steamy scenes! I'm no prude, Very Good Descriptive Regency Romance, . . Nothing like the Stupid Cover

The is a descriptive story of a Regency Second Son who wants to be a vicar and a daughter of a country vicar.
It is a story that takes it time to unfold, I love the story's pace because it give such a realistic view of Regency daily life,

It needs more editing to be astar review, Sometimes it is hard to understand the characters relationships to one another, I will check out other books by this author, Natasha Lockhart is the pen name for a former primary school teacher, After completing eleven years as an educator, she decided to pursue her dream of being a writer, Her love of historical novels began in fourth grade when she was introduced to the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder, Since then, Natasha has been time travelling through literature and enjoying every minute of it, Her obsession with romance novels came years later after a couple of less than satisfying relationships, Books detailing the happily ever afters of fictional characters were like an oasis in the desert during her single years, Natasha is now happily married and the mother of two precocious daughters and one laid back son, When shes not writing or tending to her husband Natasha Lockhart is the pen name for a former primary school teacher, After completing eleven years as an educator, she decided to pursue her dream of being a writer, Her love of historical novels began in fourth grade when she was introduced to the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder, Since then, Natasha has been time travelling through literature and enjoying every minute of it, Her obsession with romance novels came years later after a couple of less than satisfying relationships, Books detailing the happily ever afters of fictional characters were like an oasis in the desert during her single years, Natasha is now happily married and the mother of two precocious daughters and one laid back son, When she's not writing or tending to her husband's demands, she works as an on call chauffeur, personal assistant, and cheerleader for her three children, I've heard it said by a few Goodreads' members that authors should not review books, that it's somehow a conflict of interest, I respectfully disagree. I was a reader long before I sat in front of my laptop to pen a story, On the one hand, I can see how getting a negative review from a bestselling author could crush a newbie or a less successful author, It is therefore good that the overwhelming majority of the chart toppers don't write book reviews, Oh, we've all seen endorsement quotes on book covers to help a fellow writer sell a book, I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about a regular review on Goodreads or, On the other hand, I believe anyone who purchases a book has the right to express their opinions about that book, Anyone who puts themselves out there in the public eye should be prepared to handle criticism and praise, Having said that, since I read far books each year than I write, I will continue to review books, I respect the hard work of each author whose work I read, I am never critical to be malicious, If I don't like something, I just don't like it, If I enjoy something, I praise it, Should the day ever come that I feel my success warrants my stepping back from writing book reviews, I will do that, Until then. Here's my simple system for rating books: Five Perfection! A Masterpiece! All the boxes in my What Constitutes a Good Book list were checked off, Very rarely do I come across a five star book, It's hard as hell to create something that's so masterfully written it will wow an avid reader, In my opinion, less thanof writers fall in this category, Only a handful of authors in my favorite genre, Romance, ever manage to hit this mark, Most of us have learned

the hard way that just because an author writes one amazing book does not necessarily mean the books that follow it will be just as good.
I think five star ratings are given out too freely, Just my opinion. Feel free to disagree. FourReally good! With a few tweaks, it would be damn near perfect, I want to read from this author, ThreeGood story! I loved the premise, but something failed in the execution, One or both of the main characters were unlikable, Instalove Get out of here! Instalust Not cool unless the book is categorized as Erotica, TwoJust meh. The plot didn't hold my attention, I forced myself to finish the book, I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't recommend it to another reader, One starRiddled with distracting spelling and grammatical errors, The plot is severely disjointed and doesn't flow smoothly, Whoever published this book has shown a blatant lack of respect for the reader, I've gotten much better at selecting books, I don't think I'll ever rate a book one star again, sitelink.
