Attain The Day Of The Dead (Frieda Klein #8) Constructed By Nicci French Conveyed As Booklet

on The Day of the Dead (Frieda Klein #8)

started with Monday,
But it doesnt end with Sunday, ”

“I like to fish, I sit by the water and I wait, I can wait all day, I wait until the line twitches, Even the smallest tug and I feel it, Im a patient man. ”
Dean Reeve

“I had to disappear, not because I was in danger from Dean Reeve but because everyone I was close to was in danger.
I was cursed, like a plague carrier, and I needed to remove myself, ”
Frieda Klein

“Is dumping a body in a canal really staging Isnt that just one of the things that people do with dead bodies Bury them.
Burn them. Throw them in canals. Sorry. Am I sounding a bit negative I dont mean to be, ”
Lola Hayes

“There has been too much damage, too much loss, I have no intention of dying, but Im not scared of it, I am scared of being the cause of other peoples deaths, ”
Frieda Klein I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S OVER! It was one hell of a ride and I'm definitely going to miss my yearly Frieda Klein fix, For the last eight years there has always been a new Frieda book in March/April, but this was the final installment, It's over, I know it is, everything came to a close in the lastpages or so, It was great, just the way it had to end and so typically Frieda, But at the same time I can't help but wish for more, I need at leastmore chapters about how things'll go from now on, Tell me more please.

Now that is how you complete a series of eight books with style and cunning and an unexpected turn of events right at the very end.
No disappointment in the finale at all! In fact it is probably one of the best books in the series,

Frieda has withdrawn from her friends and gone underground as she attempts to draw out Dean Reeve who has been her constant nemesis throughout the series.
It appears she is ready to sacrifice herself in order to end his trail of murders, There are many complications to this plan, including her friends who are not prepared to let her go,

I read this in one day and enjoyed every word, Sad now it is all over but gosh it was good while it lasted: Now the final book in this extraordinary series is here, And it's an ending you'll never forget,

A decade ago, psychologist Frieda Klein was sucked into the orbit of Dean Reeve a killer able to impersonate almost anyone, a man who can disappear without a trace, a psychopath obsessed with Frieda herself.

In the years since, Frieda has worked with and sometimes against the London police in solving their most baffling cases, But now she's in hiding, driven to isolation by Reeve, When a series of murders announces his return, Frieda must emerge from the shadows to confront her nemesis, And it's a showdown she might not survive,

This gripping catandmouse thriller pits one of the most fascinating characters in contemporary fiction against an enemy like none other, Smart, sophisticated, and spellbinding, it's a novel to leave you breathless,

Not interesting enough for me to be rated beyond three,

Im familiar with Dr, Freida Klein, and her odd, clipped, but efficient personality, Her obsessive way of walking around outdoors is to be able to think deeply and blow off steam, Someone please, give this woman a pedometer and a new pair of walking shoes!

The serial killer, Dean Reeves, who is after Freida, lives on in this story.
He is good at avoiding being caught for all this time, after many deceased victims, He kills people, and sets up “clues” that only Dr, Klein can discern. They are odd, unbelievable clues that the police disregard because they make no sense to them, But, they make sense to

her and to Dean, Its a weird thing these two have going on,

Enter into the story, Lola, a young, flighty student, who is struggling with what topic to write her dissertation on, She ends up being referred to writing of Dr, Freida Klein with disastrous results and being sucked into the ongoing cat and mouse game between Freida and Dean, the killer,

Lola was a completely unlikeable character, She was flighty, weak, easily manipulated, had an inability to listen to directions and a poor liar, Lola experienced the physical brutality of her flatmate at the hands of Dean Reeves and she was shell shocked, She continued to decline in mind and behavior, entering a deepdepressive state leave it to Freida to look after Lola and try to get her to get moving, out and about and to eat, for had these two never come together, Lola would have stayed untainted.
Quite honestly, I wanted to slap Lola for her immature silliness and cowardice, She could have been an accomplice to crimes when all was said and done, She had put not only herself at risk of being killed, but Freida and others, too, Such a silly, stupid girl, No sympathy from me for her, Shes one of the reasons this story only got rated astar, I got verytired of Lola and her constant neediness, I'm sad that Frieda Klein's story has come to an end! I've loved every book in the series, I was looking forward to reading the final book in the Frieda Klein series by Nicci Gerrard and Sean French who write under the banner Nicci French.
After enjoying the previous seven books in the series I was hoping that this instalment would bring it to a satisfying finale, Well I need't have been concerned, In Day of the Dead, the consultant psychologist Frieda Klein finds herself in a difficult situation when a criminology student writes a paper about her, Frieda has been in hiding from the serial killer Dean Reeve, who is killing individuals in an attempt to uncover her whereabouts,
This final book has all the qualities of the previous ones but gives a satisfying conclusion to a story that many of us have followed from book to book.
The book is dark, mysterious and addictive and this series is well worth reading from the start to get the full Frieda Klein experience, Frieda is not a character that you will instantly like but gradually she will grow on you and become very real,
