beautiful creation by Mrs, Lessman. It may not be long, but it packs a punch when we are welcomed back into the lives of Mitch and Charity, This was a wonderful Christmas read that doesnt let us forget that Jesus is the reason for the season, A wonderful Mitch and Charity update!
Charity and Mitch's original story was richly at best, so I didn't expect this novella to be free of rocky periods.
. . and my expectations were met! Heh heh, Loved this book. Loved it!
I loved it!!! I laughed and shed some tears, Thank you so much for another O'Conner book!!! Julie Lessman is an amazing author!!! Such a wonderful story of a Christmas miracle taking place inside the beloved O'Connor family.
This time we get to read about one of my favorite characters, Charity and husband Mitch, and how expanding their hearts expands their love, A feel good story all around, and a perfect read at Christmas, It's always a joy to revisit the O'Connor family at anytime, They are my favorite fictional family, and whenever I finish any of their stories, long or short, I always want more! I'm glad Julie took the time to write the Christmas novellas and give us a peek back into their lives.
Can't wait to see
what will be next! Shes desperate for a baby,
Hes desperate for an empty nest,
Love is desperate to surprise them both,
With a husband dead set against adoption, Charity OConnor Dennehy has barely a whisper of hope for more children, but if hope doesnt disappoint will it be enough to find a precious bundle under her tree
And I hate this cover, too.
Thank God I can't see the cover when I read this as an ebook, This was just such a sweet novella!
I absolutely adored seeing Charity and Mitch again, and the dynamics of their relationship had me laughing many times throughout the book.
There were so many lovable characters both returning and new, However, little Winnie stole my heart, just as she did Charity and Mitch's heart!
I loved all of her interactions with Charity, and was left sighing contentedly as the book came to a close.
Overall, a great addition to the O'Connor family books! A fun, faith filled story
Some faith, some fun, some love, and a wonderful story.
Then you sprinkle in Christmas and the story is perfect, I love Julie Lessmans OConner series and this Christmas novella was just frosting on the cake, A very sweet story with a surprise ending, It has been a while since I read Charity's book, but I was able to get right into this story, There were a few things that bugged me, but I think that is just because my reading preferences have changed a bit and I also found the romance to be a bit much.
I did really enjoy getting an update, though, on the characters, : The last sentence was a surprise and I loved it! Even though you don't start out the O'Connor series loving Charity, you end up having a love/hate relationship with her by the end.
This little novella helped me to get over "missing" them so much! I really enjoyed it! Love Charity!
I am one of those who have grown to love Charity after wanting to slap her silly in book! This is such a good example of how to handle a deep desire when the answer seems to be “no.
” Highly recommended! I love the O'Connor books, I actually really just love Julie Lessman's books, She's a wonderful author. I'm always thrilled to read more about the O'Connor family, Charity and Mitch are such a fun couple, It was good to get back into their world, Charity is my least favorite character in this series, I still find her a bit spoiled, nosy, and manipulative, but shes calmed down some, I adore Mitchs character though! This was such a sweet novella! I loved having the chance to read more about Mitch and Charity's story and the growth of each of their characters! Cant wait to see what's next for the O'Connor family! Read this as part of the Hope for the Holidays novella collection.
Always wonderful to revisit the O'Connor family, especially Mitch and Charity! There is no place like home,
How true that old adage is! There simply is no place like the OConnors in Boston, at least for me, I fell in love with this family not even a month ago, and now I cant get them out of my head, From Patrick and Marcys strong marriage and deep love for family, Faith with her spirit and Collin with his signature humor, Lizzie and Brady and their brood, wild Katie and her husband Luke, hilariousand uncontrollableGabe, to my alltime favorite OConnor sister Charity and her husbandmy kind of manMitch Dennehythis group of Irish mules and seductive sisters and dramatic love lives has stolen my heart.
Which is why I thank Godand Julie Lessmanfor this Christmas novella,
Ive read plenty of serieshistorical and contemporary, romantic and fantasyabout families so closeknit and warm and welcoming, but never has one truly been as real and beautiful as Lessmans OConnors.
And thats probably why their stories never end, When one trilogy ends and the story of a younger sibling opens up, Faith and Collin and Marcy and Patrick are still there, imparting wisdom and experiencing trials of their own.
When another character has a difficult problem, you know who is still there to do her thing Charity, of course! And when the main couple of a previous book are finally expecting their first child, what does our beloved author do She tells their story too!
This novella of Mitch and Charity Dennehy and their quests for an empty nest and a full tummy, respectively, has made my heart soar! Mitch and Charity are by far my favorite couple of Julies so farIm sure Katie and Luke will soon become the close secondand seeing them again was amazing!
Side note: All of the Christmas novellas take place in the early to mids, after the events of both The Daughters of Boston and Winds of Change.
Therefore, I highly suggest reading both series before these novellas, because of spoilerssuch as who the second set of OConnor siblings end up withbut I havent read Winds of Change yet and was still able to grasp the situation and didnt feel like any pieces were missing.
However, I already know who marries who and what have you, so nothing was spoiled for me, Cant say the same for you,
BookWorm I read this on KindleUnlimited WOW!!! I want more, more, more!
WOW! This novella has got it all laughter, tears, joy, excitement, curiosity, loveable characters and a great storyline.
I love it! My only consolation in having finished reading this novella in record time! is that I can read more about Mitch, Charity, and the whole O'Connor clan in the awesome Julie Lessman's 'Daughters of Boston' series.
Check it out you won't be disappointed!!!
PS I highly suggest starting off the series with the sequel, one of my favorite books ever, 'A Light in the Window' great for Christmas reading but also a mustread yearround!
