A Rose From A Dream is the second book in the Lotus Saga by Kanchana Krishnan Ayyar,
Compared to the first book, I liked this one a lot better because the historical fiction aspect felt more realistic and how it tied into the story.
Now, I don't know a lot when it comes to history but from the little research I did because I had questions at the back of mind related to certain events it looks like the author has put in a lot of hard work into doing research and the way the story has been written makes you feel like your standing there and witnessing it with your own eyes.

If you're someone new to this genre, it will feel lengthy and overwhelming because of the saturation of information, but it's worth it.

Just like the first book there's a lot of things covered that are not acceptable in the present but there are topics that were prevalent during the time period and may cause a bit of uneasiness while reading, but it stays true to the timeline.

Overall, would definitely recommend the book and the series,

The independence movement chapters were really good! Can tell the amount of research the author would have done to write them.
