was so much potential for a higher rating, The dialogue was jilted most of them time and felt like it was forced, Which means, to me anyway, it wasn't the characters talking, The plot could have been stronger too, the story itself was a good thriller, It just needed more development, This isn't the first book I read by this author but if I remember correctly it is the first one I rated less thanstars, Not bad enough that I won't continue the series eventually but not good enough to be more excited about the next book, Although I hope Nicco has his own story and that it's much better written, Jeesh, how much can one woman live through This story is okay, I definitely liked the dynamic of Cree and Jake more than either of them with Jenny, Can anyone else get Forrest Gump's pronunciation out of their head I can't, I liked Jenny well enough, but I just didn't connect with her, and since the guys seemed really wrapped up in her, I had some trouble connecting with them.
There were a couple of parts that were very shmaltzy and kinda gave me the willies,

A bit of unrealism at the end kinda threw me off and fell into the "Aww, come on!" realm,

I really enjoyed most of the Carol Lynne books I've read, but I'm thinking I'll be avoiding anything she writes that involves women in relationships.
The dialogue wasnt very realistic most of the time, but the story was good, Im surprised this was published as is by Elloras Cave, Reads more like a new self published author, m/m, m/f/m menage, m/f, Warning: This book has references to rape and violence against a woman, I gave itbecause it had a decent story and steamy love scenes, It is part of a series but I read it as a stand alone story with no problems, Normally im a big fan of Carol Lynne's but after reading this one andother books that have a female as ard i think she should just stick to male characters only, There is so much invested within her male chars and nothing within the females.

I really liked Jake and Cree and thought they made a very loving couple but Jenny just annoyed me and i kept just wanting her to disappear, she was like ard wheel in the relationship, during any sexual contact with her is was all bout her breasts as if to force across the point that she was female and that was her defining point.

Guilt seemed to be only one emotion for her, and she came across as too stilted and polite in everything she said as if there was no truth or feeling behind what she was saying.

to say she was supposed to have been through such a traumatic event it the guys more than it did her,

I felt that there was so much important parts left out of this story and the sex scenes could have done with alot more detail rather than the quick skim over it that there was.

Not sure if i want to read the next book in the series as the brief introduction of kate has put me off, her and jenny came across as weak giggly teenagers and Ben deserves better imo I read the last two books in the series first I only read them because they had background information leading to the "Bodyguard in Love" series.
I was not impressed with book, It was more sex than plot so I wound up skipping a lot of it, The couple from this book made me crazy with their situation pertaining to Remy's book so I will NOT be reading book! so I already knew her writing style steamy scenes and some plot.
I'm fine with that until it gets to be too much steam, For instance, someone they love is in the hospital and could be in danger, They decide to quickly get ready and head back there but first they're so scared and tired that they hug each other for comfort and of coarse that leads to a shower scene that was more annoying then sexy.
Sometimes too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing,

Finding out what happens to them in bookand ten years later in bookI'm having a problem really caring about these characters, I have no problem with polygamous relationships as long as everyone is happy in the end, To have a story like this about long lost love and happy ever afters and then have bookhappen, . It takes away from this couple, Was what happened in bookreally necessary It just takes away the undying love aspect here,

All in all, not the book series for me, I give it.stars

This is a erotic romance with M/M amp M/F/M so be warned, It's a very good story but it is a HOT ROMANCE, It's the first in the "Men in Love" series from sitelinkwww, ellorascave. com and it does have a "Reader Advisory: This book contains references to rape and graphic violence, " so please be warned about that, .

"On the run from her stepfather, Jenny Barnes wakes up in hospital to find the two men she's loved for years are with her, Her stepbrother, Jake, and his best friend and lover, Cree, have finally been called to her side after they spent years searching for her, But when they take Jenny home to their new ranch, even they can't keep her tormentor away, With the help of their exSeal buddies they set out to keep the love of their lives safe and to capture Jake's own father, " The people over in the M/M Romance Group requested that those of us who givestar to a book explain why, I know that there are many people who read Ms, Lynne's work and are happy, unfortunately I am not, If you enjoy reading Ms, Lynne's work, please continue to do so, If you have never read one of Ms, Lynne's works please try her out, May I suggest Cattle Valley: Sweet Topping as this is the best book I have found in any of her series,

book is what draws me into buying and this book, Branded by Gold was one of the early works I read when I was just starting to read eBooks.
It started with such a promise an interesting story line and a wonderful idea, I find Ms. Lynne always always has such wonderful story ideas, It is the execution and I mean that literally of these ideas that evoke thestar rating,

The dialogue is wooden really wooden, the writing does not evoke in me any "Oh that was wonderfully worded" moments, which I love to have when reading.
It was one of the books that I read where I first got the "ditch the girl" feeling from as I found the interaction between the main M/M characters to ring far more real than the addition of a female character.

I didn't read any more in this series, even though I was tempted by the blurbs, I just couldn't bring myself to continue on with them, The story line held such promise, the book could be so much more if the writing, the pure craft of writing and the use of words were better executed.
