sitelink blogspot. com/ I really liked this book, This book is aboutawsome things in space, This nonfiction book explores the Milky Way and all its wonders, Beautiful images of outer space complement the text nicely, Some of the graphics do an excellent job of comparing commonly known information about our solar system to new information for example, the size of our sun to the size of suns in other solar systems.
The chapter on other earthlike planets in the milky way is especially fascinating and sure to incite wonder in readers at the miracle of our own planet.
The conditions required for life are so specific and rare! In all, this book has lots of fascinating information, but the format could be better.

I can't imagine any student except the most fervent space enthusiast reading this book cover to cover.
The format of this book doesn't lend itself to easy research, either, It is lacking in nonfiction text features such as bolded print, subtitles, or boxed off information, Instead it is written as long chapters with unbroken text, While there are images and graphics, many of the images lack captions so quick browsing is not an option.
The book would have benefited from more compare/contrast images such as when the author is explaining the starry sky that would be visible from inside Omega Centauri it is described as twenty times brighter than our night sky.
Why not use an illustration and wellplaced captions to highlight this difference Language: Gswears,“f” Mature Content: G Violence: G

How does one pick only seven wonders of space even when limiting them to the Milky Way I don't know if I could've done it, but David Aguilar chooses some astounding candidates for sure.
There were a few I recognized and some I didn'ta good mix, Each "tour" of these wonders didn't simply focus on that wonder, but included background and additional examples, so even though you were learning about TRAPPISTas the main wonder, you were also learning about exoplanets in general and other similar exoplanet systems.
A very thorough and understandable survey of the Milky Way as a whole, and the stunning photographs and illustrations brought it to the next level.
Definitely a book I'd like to own, The information in this book is great, but there is a lot of it and probably half of the text is very dry.
Casual space fans will browse the text and admire the pictures, but a kid would have to be a diehard space junkie to sit and read the whole book.
