this book has some good ideas for living a healthy life, I wish they didn't try to use Jesus as their mascot, The Jesus in this book has a very different and opposing message to the one in the New Testament, Recently a FB friend asked what I thought about the Essene Gospel, Luckily I found a pdf version freely available, As I waded into the text I wasnt sure what to make of it, especially me having little knowledge of Biblical texts, canonical or not.
What surprised me initially were the repeated references to Mother Earth, and what convinced me this was quite an oddity was the very early reference to the need for people to selfadminister enemas via a gourd and stalk.
At that point, I did a bit of research and found that this and other similar texts translated by Szekely are considered fakes, notwithstanding the claim they were found in secret Vatican archives.
Its an interesting read, with lots of good guidance, albeit one written in the tortured style of Biblical writing, Possibly there was a reason it was in a secret part of the Vatican library, Awesome I regret taking so long to finish this book, Everyone, irrespective of their belief, should read this book,

Simply wow, I think this book changed my life, This is a book you want to have nearby to fill the spare moments in the day, Nearly two thousand years have passed since the Son of man taught the way, the truth and the life of mankind, He brought health to the sick, wisdom to the ignorant and happiness to those in misery, He conquered half of humanity and the whole of the civilization of the West, This fact proves the eternal vitality of the Master's words, and their supreme and incomparable value, The content of this book represents only about a third of the complete manuscripts which exist in Aramaic in the Secret Archives of the Vatican and in old Slavonic in the Royal Archives of the Habsburgs now the property of the Austrian Government.

This is a good book of teachings that are very relevant to us today, It does make more sense if you look at it from a Kabbalist point of view rather than a religious one, I think that everybody who seeks the truth will like to read this book, “The Essene Gospel”

I found this copy on a free cart at the local library, The Essene movement has been subtle but continues on with nook and cranny ways of providing its books on free carts of small town libraries, thrift shops, and flea markets a perfect venue that the Lord himself would use.
It is a fascinating book with such profound effect that I was pretty much ashamed and embarrassed from its convicting content,

The book discusses fasting and cleansing of the body in such simplistic terms that one would want to forsake all and follow.

This first book was quite different from any biblical work I've read before, It implies a love of Earth Mother that is equal to that of the Father, It explains healing with the elements, Whether you're a Christian of some sort or not, this is well worth the read, after reading this i realized i've lived it for the last month here at the tree of life in az I am not sure how I feel about the "lost" books of the bible, not because I doubt their authenticity, but instead because I do not think they need to be considered as something that should have been in the bible and instead should be looked at as alternative mystical perspectives written at the same time.
Whether or not Jesus ever said any of these things or help awaken the Essene brotherhood does not matter, instead I feel like one should just view this as a beautiful perspective on how to be more in touch with the feminine and mother Earth and how to cleanse ones body of the awful, processed diet we "nourish" ourselves on these days.

Excellent book promoting co operation with nature and raw veganism, Similar dietary messages coming through to me recently not to eat the flesh of the suffering, for God is the God of the living, not the dead.


Also clear teachings here on the Divine Mother, which was missing from much of my religious teachings growing up and makes me wonder why these teachings were disregarded in place of a patriarchal system where women were shunned for the original sin.
An eloquent text written very concisely with some very good quotes such as those mentioned below, I would like to read all four parts of this text since I was impressed by the first part,
