Catch The Sacrifice (The 4 Horsemen, #3) Documented By Elena Monroe Visible In Textbook
a disappointment, Monroe knows how to give me characters that I cant help falling for, and Khaos and Birdy are no different.
I thought I knew what I was getting, Jokes on me, because I didnt have the vaguest clue, and they were so much more,
It did take me a few chapters to really get into, but overall, this one is another hit.
Holly Molly Elena!!!
What a story!!!
This story is not a fairy tale romance, this story is raw, angsty and full of character.
Twist and turns, an emotional rollercoaster, a modern version of Romeo and his Juliet,
I was so intrigued by Khaos character in the beginning, but chapter by chapter his layers were peel and you see who Khaos truly was.
He wanted to be seen and for him Grace was the only person who truly saw him,
Grace was a bird without her wings, She was a ghost in a society that never show her something good, Her choices were taken from her and she was force to do things she didn't want to do.
When she met Khaos she felt emotion for the first time ever, He free her without even knowing,
"We're tragedy, not a mistake"
I love this story so much because by far these characters weren't perfect, they had sins but with each other they saw a slice of heaven.
Woah this book was just WOW!
Khaos is a horseman that I have been looking forward to ever since I read Grimms book, The Inititation.
Hearing about his past really makes you feel for him, especially when he tries to hide it behind the facade he puts up as well as the girls, parties and drugs.
Grace little birdy was such an entertaining character, I love how her and Khaos got along right away, She was tough and head strong which as always for me is an admirable trait,
And now for the story, . .
I literally was in love with every minute of this book, From the partying to the shady stuff happening with the clave, its never boring, I also loved the little glimpse we got into Bowen because lets be real, were all dying for his book.
Elenas writing as always was spectacular and she never disappoints, This book series is by far one of my favourites of all time and I cant wait to read more from this universe.
The extended epilogues were also so great, I loved getting to see their far future, it really gives a little extra to that HEA,
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review
arc has been given to me for an honest opinion
OKAY.
. . OKAY let's go
let me start off by saying I LOVE THIS BOOK, now that we have that out of the waygtgtgt
First, I loved the plot and storyline and the plot twists, you would this because this is therd book in the horsemen series it's going to be similar, I WAS WRONG, it was different, Khaos was a brand of his own, he had his story and it's was very different, he had the heart of a child with the midset of a gangster and the face of an angel !!
Grace, there is no Khaos without Grace and no Grace without Khaos, they were the perfect match for the wildest storm, they were water and fire, yin and yang, two pieces of the same coin, their love was beautiful and heartwarming lt
Like always, Elena Monroe takes you to another universe while reading her books, I wish I could somehow teleport to their universe and just be a fly on the wall, that's how good her books are.
Anyways, I would definitelyrecommend this masterpiece lt
BUT of course go read the first two books if you want to find out how the story really started with the AMAZING, the one and only GRIMM, and then continues on with the lovely pain in the ass Victory.
I seriously cannot wait to have Bowen's book in my hands because I know for a fact IT'S GOING TO BE AMAZING.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 is the third book in “TheHorsemen” about Khaos, truly his namesake and your unconventional hero thats part of a cult and Grace, just a badass heroine and gang member.
Two very different worlds but their realities are very similar, Ive been waiting for his story and I thought I was ready for him, Nope. I wasnt. Such a complex book with several layers, It was a chaotic ride of twists and turns and passion and chemistry, And the epilogue was everything,
“𝙄 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙙. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙪𝙣, 𝙄 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙚. 𝙄 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙄𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣. Ive been dying for Khaoss story and Elena didnt disappoint not at all ! Khaos and Birdy Grace are probably my favorite couple out of these characters Ive probably said that with all of
them but these two surprised me in the best way.
They took us on one chaotic ride of emotional roller coaster the twists and turns the pain the angst the sexual tension between these two holy hell was it hot ! Im obsessed with this world and characters that this author has created.
I love the darkness that is in this series its intense gritty bloody and steamy but also a perfect balance of dark and light bad and good.
And wow that epilogue at the end was literally EVERYTHING! Im itching for Bowens story next I know his is going to be epic ! RTC The Sacrifice is the third book in TheHorsemen Series by Elena Monroe.
Its imperative you read both books before reading this one, This wouldnt make sense as a standalone,
The Sacrifice features Khaos, The chaotic, mess up, nonreliable member of the group, Khaos has mental health struggles for a plethora of reasons, His past being one of them, The actions of his past shaped the man he has become today, One that doesnt fit in with his cult, his family, The Order of The Silver Ghost or theother men he has to be partners with at Clave.
In the pastbooks we saw Khaos as the reliable friend who was always there to help Grimm or Vic figure out their relationship issues.
Here, we see a completely different side of Khaos, He is perceived by the other members of the group as a screw up, A title, that he has embraces, He throws wild parties in his house in LA, invites anyone and everyone and has an onhand supply of anything the guests could want to enjoy a wild night.
His team members feel he needs to grow up, Khaos was an unlikable character to me because his inner monologue made me dislike him, He was selfish, needy, always used everyone else to fix his problems and was essentially a fu boy.
All he did was whine and complain during most of this book,
Grace on the other hand, is a strong young woman who has been in and out of foster care her entire life.
She ended up getting into trouble when she was younger, The only one she had to turn to bail her out was a wellknown gang in her neighborhood.
Grace has been a fullfledged gang member for quite some time however she is still a lovable, down to earth young woman who I very much liked.
She is the responsible adult between the two of them,
As far as the relationship between Khaos and Grace goes this book had little angst or relationship development.
Its clear from the start Khaos has affections toward Grace bordering on “instalove”, The climax and storyline involve dealings with The Order, the gang, and many other familiar faces we now know from booksand.
Yes, my Vic and Grimm make an appearance, That was one of the better parts of this book for me,
Clearly, Im of the unpopular opinions here but I am going to be honest as regardless of how much I LOVE Elena Monroe and I LOVED the other two books, I honestly DID NOT LIKE this third one at all.
I felt it was so dragged out with unnecessary fillers, Reading it at times made me angry, I was annoyed with Khaos and all the whining he did like a child,
The writing was extra dramatized to provide young angst in the form of metaphors which took up a lot of this book.
I wished the book could have been straighter to the point, less wordy teenage angsty metaphors about life and didnt waste time with unneeded scenes.
I did enjoy some of the scenes between Grace and Khaos, however I dont enjoy a hero that gushes over a heroine in the beginning of a book.
I felt as though Khaos was chasing Grace for a period of this book which always bothers me in romance novels.
I have a pet peeve with the guy falling in love right away and being obsessed with the heroine.
It takes away from the thrill to me,
I wanted more cult as well, It just seemed to miss the mark on a lot of levels, The firstbored me. I found myself angry at Khaos and hating him based on how selfish he was, Also, I honestly kind of liked Doves character, I would totally read a book with sexy Dove doing all sorts of bad things to people with his bad self lol What can I say, I love a dark read with a strong cruel hero.
Khaos certainly wasnt that hero,
The story picked up towards the end when Grim and Vic came in,
Still, I really dislike Khaos, but I do think its important to read every book in the series.
I didnt like this book, but I would still read the next one as I am excited to see Bowens story.
I feel bad saying all of this but I cant lie as I wouldnt want someone to NOT tell me important things that made me dislike this book.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily,
