Read For Free The LevellerBook 1 Of The Dark Elsewhere Series: A Sci-Fi Technothriller Series Authored By Luke Davids Shared As Visual Format
is an interesting story with good characters, an unusual story line, and a unique world situation, As a military brat I didn't care for the relationship between the Army father and daughter because no one I know behaves that way.
But, other than that it's a good story,
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, I'll be honest, I wasn't sure this book series was going to pull me in, Bookisn't super long, but it starts out with a mystery to be solved, and just takes off from there.
I went straight to Book, so I think that says a lot for how much it hooked me,
New author to me also, but I think I'll be sticking around to see where the Dark Elsewhere series takes me.

If you like dystopian novels involving parallel universe and and the battle between Manc and machine you will love this blade runner meets terminator sort of.
Even though this was a short story it was a great read, I really enjoyed it A good start to the series, A man wakes from a coma with memory loss and is somehow linked to murders and the military, Contains mystery, action, suspense , humour and otherworldly beings, Piques your curiosity as to where this will go next and I'm certainly looking forward to finding out,

A SciFi Cyberpunk TechnoThriller Series
By Luke Davids
The dystopian society of “chipped” and “nonchipped” has been outlawed.
Society is returning to the old ways, . .
Captain Sahara Scholz is in charge of investigating a web of murders by a entity with super human strength with sinister plans that will stop at nothing to achieve its goal.
The investigation leads to extraordinary truths of projects long since discontinued that is somehow connected to a John Doe who has awoken from a coma of three years.

Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book before it's release in exchange for an honest review,
It starts off slow as the scene is set and we get an in story recap of the world building fromst series of books and what's changed in between.
However things pick up and become rather intriguing in chapterwith the arrival of the American
detectives and the questions they bring to the table.
I really enjoyed this book, So that I wouldn't have any preconceptions I went in without reading the synopsis so I didn't know what the focus of the story would be.
As someone who loves NCIS, XFiles and anything scifi or dystopian this book ticked all the boxes for me,
The story is set in a dystopian future I would say roughly a decade or so from now if I had to hazard guess.
Within this futuristic world the characters have developed technology at their disposal so prepare yourself for a fair amount of science and technology jargon that sounds very cool even though I have no idea of it's accuracy or if it's just fiction.
We get a great mix of characters, some are more fleshed out than others but I know from previous books by this author it is highly likely that the side and background characters here could play a more integral role in later books in the series.
They wouldn't have been included if there wasn't an underlying reason,
It was enjoyable seeing some old faces from the first set of books and picking up on references to that era throughout.
Even though that is the case I think this book is written in such a way that it isn't essential for you to read the first set beforehand to still enjoy this one.
You could always go back and read them after although there would be a few obvious spoilers doing it that way round.
Raised for military duty, the fate of the world rests on the shoulders of Captain Sahara Scholz,
Powerful forces still want the old status quo where the unchipped were reduced to subsisting in desperate slums, where life was a daily fight for food, shelter, and basic medical supplies, whilst the chipped lived in 'perceived' bliss.
Against this backdrop, a killer, known only as The Leveller has been targeting elite VIPs, Yet it is the suspect in the crimes that makes this mystery truly perplexing, CCTV footage points to a man who has been in a coma for three years,
Charged with solving the case, Sahara finds herself entangled in a web of intrigue and treason that crosses parallel worlds and stretches the bounds of reality.
Soon, she discovers she is not alone in her quest, An entity with superhuman strength and an appetite for destruction is plotting against her to achieve a dark and twisted agenda.
Can Sahara save her family and restore peace Or will her world be jolted back into technoslavery and the complete loss of human freedom.
