Get Hold Of Dragon Is Coming! Assembled By Valeri Gorbachev Available Through Digital Format
new rendition of Chicken Little which is a gentle reminder story for everyone, not just kids, to get the facts before spreading any story the animal illustrations are fabulous.
Read this book for my son as a story time, Its a cute story. Dog is watching the blue sky with cloud shapes like ducks and ice cream cones, Then a thunderstorm comes and block out the sun, The mouse napping nearby woken up and thought the dark clouds look like a dragon swallowed the sun, He ran and called up all the animals in the area to go into hiding, Love the illustrations and story, I like the ending. Highly recommended. Borrowed this book from local library, This is a silly version of "The boy who cried wolf" This book reminds us that we need to set time aside to daydream and look at the clouds.
Such a cute book for children of all ages,
L, E: Have the children go out on a cloudy day and look up at the sky, Have them discuss the different shapes and creatures they can imagine, Cute take on Henny Penny, I got a big pile of picture books out of the library to get my picture book juices flowing, I read three or four before I got to Gorbachev, He blew the rest out of the water, Although his book 'Catty Jane who Hated the Rain' was also in the pile, and it isn't as good as this one,
I just love Gorbachev's mastery over page composition and his wonderful, expressive use of a very fine pen line, He always uses this fine, fine line and yet his pictures are not fiddly or static, always brimming with robust life and animation, The colour is divine. His distribution of large and small on the page works perfectly, Genius. Good storytime read for kindergarteners! A little mouse tries to warn his friends about the coming menace, . . but is it really what he thinks it is Another winner by author/artist Gorbachev, Mouse panics when he hears Dog say "the big gray cloud looks like a dragon that will swallow the sun, " Mouse thinks a dragon is coming and he proceeds to alarm all of the other animals of the approaching danger, Everyone runs to the barn to hide, everything is quiet, and then the animals learn what's really happening, Gorbachev's illustrations are a delight in this Henny Pennystyle story, Adorable! Will happily use this in storytime, This book is simple story, Children can learn "look like, did you see , did you hear, did you feel, ex Some looked like fluffy white ducks in a blue lake, Some looked like icecream cones, That gray cloud looks like a dragon that will swallow the sun, Did you see that flame, Did you hear his stomach rumble, Did you feel that drop, Do you hear all that noise " A version of Chicken Little.

Themes fear, overreaction, unaware, misunderstanding
I thought this was a cute little story, that could be read to children k throughat most.
My favorite part of the book was the ending because no one was mad at mouse for the misunderstanding, instead, they told him that the thundercloud was actually scary, but was not a dragon.
This story could teach children to get all the facts before they act, because what they think might not actually be what's happening, cute. Clever story and wonderful illustrations, My kids love this book and my son has taken to say, "Dragon/lion/alligator/any animal is coming!" My daughter then gets very worried, Very cute. E says the mouse was super funny, A cute book about how things can get misconstrued, Also, dragons. A twist on the Henny Penny story, My son really like this book This remindes me a little of the sky is falling, When mouse wakes up he hears someone nameing cloud shapes say that he sees a dragon and convinces himself and many others that a dragon is coming.
Funny cute and a fun book to share with a group, AgesA cute book that's reminiscent of Chicken Little, I like the animal sounds, The ending was a bit anti climatic, art
.story
I read the mouse's part with a squeaky voice which Squirt seemed to appreciate, Myyear old enjoyed this, and loved guessing the truth about the dragon, I thought this book was alright, I feel like this book just didn't reach its potential, It built up to a Dragon coming only to have a dog open the door to say the thunderstorm was over, I feel like it was just an abrupt ending, when there was room to do more, Mouse is certain that a big gray dragon flying overhead will spell doom for her and her animal friends, So she makes it her mission to lead everyone to the safety of the barn, But it seems as though nothing will stop this hideous creature, Then the barn doors squeak open slowly, . . revealing what everyone has been dreading, Wait. It's just their friend Dog
Muchloved authorillustrator Valeri Gorbachev gives an old tale a twist that is sure to get kids giggling at even the most thunderous of storms.
Mouse mistakes a storm cloud for a dragon and gets all the barnyard animals panicked in ChickenLittlestyle: the lightning flash is fire from the dragon's mouth, the thunder is the dragon's belly rumbling.
The ending is just ok, but this is cute for the young crowd, The two year olds I read this to loved this book, It actually scared one girl, but in a "good scared" way, Valeri Gorbachev is the author and illustrator of a number of childrens books, both in the United States and Europe, including Nicky And The Big Bad Wolves and Where is the Apple Pie Mr.
