to the end! Kyohei has firmly cemented his loyalty to Kaya, but with the vampire clan monitoring their actions, their relationship is once again being tested.
It was great to see Kyohei really own up to his feelings and be protective of Kaya, even though hes still an asshole and isnt quite as kind to her as I would prefer him to be.
Im excited to see how it will end! I was dragging myself to finish this series, But the author gave me some goodie treats, LOL. I was ready to give it onlystars, but then, an extra part was included at the end about a cute cat, LOL and it changes my perspective about this manga, LOL, yeah I know what a bias I am when it came to cats, blah blah blah humans and vampires can NEVUR BEGETHER!!! how long are we going to repeat this conflict i'm going to be eighty two before this finishes and if god is kind i will no longer care about dramatic vampire lust stories at the age of eighty two

i did appreciate kaya being like 'lol selfsacrificing nah babe, who does a relationship entirely for another person, i'm in it because i'm enjoying myself you weirdo' so there is that.
and hey, only one volume left to go!

Speriamo di non dover attendere un altro anno per poter leggere il, però! So Kaya's incident with the pregnancy is mitaken for a real pregnancy amp the elders vampire clan members come after her as well as this guy named Hiroako or something amp then all these marriage proposals start coming for Kaya amp she refuses them all, b/c she loves Kyouhei amp the clan is trying to split them up amp they blame Kyouhei for not wanting to complete his duty as a vampire to get married amp have a child for the clan MArika is involved in all this so when President Kyouhei goes off on a business trip, Marika brings the clan's chief leader to visit amp he makes Kaya doubt her love for Kyouhei by saying that vampirs can control humans' will amp their emotions Kyouhei laughs at this amp tells her isn't he the one being controlled by her he's wrapped around her little finger so the doubts are gone amp they're okay again Kyouhei's changed too he was an asshole in the beginning amp now i like him :D amp at the end, the chief wants to banish Kyouhei from the clan as a punishment for falling in love with a human woman :O Just when you think Kaya and the Director have come to a mutual decision about their futures or rather a decision that the Director lets Kaya in on and she agreestheir world begins to turn upside down.


For the better

Oh as a note this book may be a bit too graphic for those who aren't used to sex in their Mangas.
It's not a "hentai" but there are certain scenes in here that are not suitable for small children this is a 'josei' book and geared toward women who are.
.This volume suffered from a lack of focus, The “I love yous” had been said in the last volume so this one suffered in comparison,

The volume went the Harlequin Presents route with a pregnancy scare because after the declaration of love the children “naturally” must follow

The art was lovely Kyohei in a formal three piece suite was so lovely that I am giving the volume an extra star.
Plus we saw see the head of the vampire clan which was a lot of fun

I like the art here and there was a super cute cat chapter which put this over

enjoyed this one more for the incidentals that the main couple.
And now for allllllll the complicated, Just when you think you've finally gotten to the happy cuteness, life goes and gets all noteasy, Ugh. Hopefully things will work out for them better in the last volume, because right now, Kyohei and Kaya don't exactly have a lot of people on their side.
But I'm still rooting for them, This is one of the volumes where I really remember why I liked the series when I read it in scanlation, Kaya and Kyohei have opened up to each other about their love both of them are not willing to hide it or take any wellmeaning or otherwise advice about their love.


So we get great confrontations with Kyohei's parents, a human slave of the local vampire boss and the boss himself, Meanwhile Kaya has a scare about being pregnant, because that would probably make her child a pawn to the vampires in reality it turns out that she's overworked and hasn't had a period because of that I love the fact that stuff like this is addressed even if it sometimes is hilarious Kyohei not only makes love to her to make her blood taste better now, he makes extralove to her because he can't get enough of her because of love.


They really deal with their insecurities by going to the other one and talking about it, or asking about it, All the danger now is from outside, because their relationship itself is firm now,

And Kaya still ruled the roost and makes Kyohei do what's best for the company even when he can't bother, Effectivement, lhistoire est banale et extrêmement prévisible : la secrétaire et son patron qui tombent amoureux avec une touche de fantastique qui fait du patron en question un vampire.
Je pense que cest pas le genre de série qui révolutionne quoi que ce soit ou qui offre des twists surprenants, Cest plutôt le genre on plonge et on a le coup de cœur soit on la pas, Perso, je lai eu.

Kaya est très mignonne, Contrairement à beaucoup de personnages féminins impliqués dans des histoires damour mangas, elle nest pas niaise, Elle est intelligente et a la tête sur les épaules, Elle est très vite parfaitement consciente de ses sentiments pour Tohma, Il ny a que son rôle de secrétaire trop présent dans son esprit et son dévouement un peu trop précipité dans lhistoire qui fait un peu dombre au tableau.
Mais ça ne la rend pas moins adorable, Son complexe davoir un visage trop enfantin est compréhensible et brise limage de la secrétairerobot et sévère quelle souhaite se donner.
Ça la rend plus humaine, Plutôt drôle étant donné le contexte de lhistoire

Tohma est exactement ce quon attend du personnage, Séduisant, mystérieux, charmant et en apparence, froid et distant, Il est en vérité très attentif envers Kaya, Il laide à passer au dessus de son grand complexe et reste étonnement à lécoute de Kaya, Il répond parfaitement à lattente quon peut avoir dun personnage de ce genre de josei : quil nous plaise, que le lecteur le trouve séduisant.
Il lest totalement.

I really liked the bonus story with Snow White aka "Princess" the cat, it was adorable and probably my favorite part of this volume.

I wish some of the things in this volume, like the vampire king or whatever he is, had been brought up earlier in the series.
I would have liked more worldbuilding about the vampires and their world rather than it being shoehorned in as conflict in the final volumes, As it is, I still like the series, but it does have its flaws, Volumeis probably the best book out of the series so far, I feel like we are getting more into the vampire politics, which I like, The main couple is still working out their kinks, but at least the ML is more responsive and expressive, Not as cold as the beginning books, which is nice, There is also that pregnancy scare which was interesting,

I have one more book and I'll be done with the series! Todays post is on Midnight Secretary, Vol,by Tomu Ohmi. It ispages long and is published by Shojo Beat, The cover is dark blue with Kyohei and Kaya on it, As it is the sixth in the series you need to have read the first five volumes to understand the story, The intended reader is someone who likes josei manga and vampire love stories, There is very mild foul language, sex and sexuality, and no violence in this volume, The story is told from third person close of Kaya, There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the book Kyohei has finally admitted that he loves Kaya, and he's even stopped feeding on other women, But even though they've worked out their personal issues, their dual roles as boss/secretary and vampire/human are still a huge hurdle to overcome.
Can Kaya and Kyohei stand up to the disapproval of the business world and the vampire world!


This volume has some great movement in Kaya and Kyoheis relationship with them being more open about it.
We also get to see more vampire politics as they think Kaya is pregnant and try to kidnap her, The elders of the vampire clan are trying to make Kyohei have a baby and if he wont with Kaya then she needs to get out of the way.
Of course that goes over well with them both, The head of the clan is going to make Kyoheis life more difficult but with only one volume left, Im sure it will work out just fine.
Im curious about how everything is to be in the end but Im looking forward to seeing it,
