Achieve Safe Harbor (Suncoast Society, #1) Picturized By Tymber Dalton Listed As Paper Copy

one of my favorite m/m/f books ever! There was so much depth to the story and characters.
Mac and Sully were an incredible pair and what a dynamic relationship wow! I've read plenty of D/s books because I happen to love that genre, but this one had some very unique elements in particular, the combination of the/nature of the relationship with the formal use of the names "Master" and "slave" along with "Sir" and "pet/girl".
There were some more hard core BDSM elements in the book because Mac really got off on pain.
That didn't bother me in fact, quite the opposite:, but the name formality took some getting used to and really just the "slave" portion of it.

The whole emotional transformation of Clarisse was very well done and seemed so realistic and believable.
Her place in the threesome felt "just right" once it came about vs, seeming like ard wheel, I really really liked that Mac and Sully were true to each other first and foremost, but that they had room in their relationship for Clarisse on equal footing without it jeopardizing their strong bond.

My

emotions ran strong while reading this one, I laughed Dom dog was hilarious and cried, felt fear and happiness, I love when a book can evoke these types of feelings and this one definitely did that plus had so much more!! It was truly awesome and I would highly recommend it! The title of the book absolutely captures the essence of the story.
Great job!
It was a sweet BDSM romance that didn't make me puke!

A predicable but nicely told story.
Kudos to Ms Dalton for not letting Clarisse turn Mac and Sully's relationship upside down, They let her become part of their lives and they love her but made clear that Mac will always be the first one for Sully and vice versa.
I liked that there isnt even a hint of possibility that one day it could be only Mac and Clarisse or Sully and Clarisse.

It was really refreshing that once told about their relationship Clarisse didnt say: Oh yes Ill forget my boyfriend abused me and I fully understand that there are people who get off at pain but: “she found it difficult to maintain the openminded mindset shed prided herself on.

Even if I cringed several times at Sullys behaviour I was reminded what I know in my heart “Every person in the lifestyle is in it for a different reason and practices it in a different way.

LOVE IT!

This is nowhere near my first BDSM, ménage, m/m/f book, but it was so much better than some books that I have read in the past.

This is the first book that I have read by this author, but if her other books are as good as this one, I will definitely will be reading more.

Full review to come, Not my favorite from Dalton and will probably not be a reread, I liked the story ok, The characters were not annoying, but I also didnt take to any of them either, I didnt mind the predictableness of it either, it just fell flat for some reason, Even with the characters highly emotional back stories it still did not pull me in that much, I always love menage. So naturally, I had no problems with the sex scenes, They were hot as always but not her best work, This was just an OK read for me, . . I felt like I was reading sitelinkLove Slave for Two again, I found the plots way too similar,

Clarissa gets taken in by Mac and Sully after her boyfriend beats the crap out of her.
They take care of her and convince he to stay with them, Clarissa is a wreck and it takes her a while to trust her new friends, Her multiple emotional outbursts didn't really ring true to me, I also struggled to feel a real connection between these, It just seemed forced and choppy, The whole master slave thing also got on my nerves after a while,

Fan of Tymber Dalton, Her plots follow predictable rules, Ms. Dalton's writing style is fluid and fun, Enjoyable read. As expected, her sex scenes are delivered hot and steamy, Great read. My husband appreciated it. : This story is mainly about the everyday life within the BDSM lifestyle, It comes off as very normal, very natural, and psychologically valid, More than about sex, this story is actually about the dynamic between the three main characters, Clarisse is a woman brutalized by her ex, and ends up hiding on a boat she assumed still belonged to a relative.
But in fact the boat has new owners, Sully is the Master, Mac is the slave, and they are very deeply in love with each other, each one with different needs.
As the protective streak of these two men kicks in, Clarisse becomes ingrained into their life, and through submission she finds her strength.

This is a very long book, and it takes a long time to develop, I liked the fact that I really got to know these three, more out of bed than in.
Not that they are specifically in bed a lot, as they play elsewhere too, even in public, Sully and Mac live in an established relationship, only gay with each other due to past events, Clarisse brings in a new aspect, one that has a calming effect on both men, Without realizing it, they had always sought her to fulfill their relationship triangle,

I had to drop one star for two reasons, The first is entirely my own fault, since neither MF nor BDSM are my preferred genres, so in that respect the story didn't really light me up.
The second reason is that there's a bit of repetition in the book, They talk a lot about the BDSM lifestyle and about Clarisse's reactions, At some point I actually said to myself "get on with already, I've heard this",

But that is a minor detail, The characters come off very real, and the new relationship configuration just makes sense in regards to their personalities.
I liked that a lot, The length of the book allowed for this natural flow, a realistic touch to it, and I can definitely see that the author knows what she's talking about.
I recommend this book.
It took me a while to write this review because what can I say, . . except that Tymber is a rockin author!! I truly believe that she was put on this earth to be an author.
She has great flow to her writing and I seem to get lost in the story whenever I start one.
I can't wait to read more of the Suncoast Society Series!

This is a m/m/f story.
The characters were beautiful in this story of love, compassion and ultimately learning to trust completely, There is just enough humor to keep this story real,

Mac, Sully and Clarrise are three beautiful people that come from a rough background, but they find a way to heal and learn to love/trust again.
I loved the way the BDSM was handled in this story and you can tell that Tymber is very knowledgable on this subject.
I don't want to give away any of this story, but I will say that I highly recommend this story and this author! I can't wait to read more in this beautiful series.
Always meant to read this book, so because it was a BOM this month, I indulged, I've enjoyed previous books Love Slave for Two, Love at First Bight etc, and notsomuch liked others Triple the Trouble series so I was a little hesitant about Safe Harbour.

Needn't have worried of course !! This was a brilliant menage, with each of the MC's having their own quirks and characteristics, and they gelled together really well.
I thought Clarisse may have turned into a TSTL heroine, what with all she went through ghastly !!, but she grew in strength and became better for it.
Mac is a lovely, kind, compassionate sub OK, when he's not following 'boat rules', and I loved his sense of humour.

Sully did it for me though, My, my what a complete Alpha Dom! Can I take him home, please He is the total template of what a Dom should be: strong, ruthless, hard, considerate, patient, loving, consistent, and honourable.
He can even cry ! :

A really lovely book, well worth reading Having recently inhaled my first Tymber Dalton book, I knew I'd have to take a look at her backlist, and, knowing me, probably inhale that, also.
It didn't take me long after starting 'Safe Harbor' to realize that this was going to be a fantastic book, and the author was going to take it into a direction I wasn't expecting from the blurb I read.

It was no surprise, to me, that Clarisse brought out all of Sully and Mac's protective instincts.
She brought out mine, and made my heart hurt for all the people, men and women, in the world who survive an abusive relationship.
Clarisse's is even worse, because her ex, Bryan, is a cop, and in his Ohio city, the boys in blue stick together, no matter what.
Clarisse files charges against him, puts her things in storage, and heads south to Florida and her uncle's fishing trawler, a boat she practically grew up on, and where she feels safe.
Instead of her uncle, though, she finds Sully and Mac, two men who are partners, lovers, and friends, and they live an unusual lifestyle that works for them.

I'm sure, if you're anything like me, and you've read books similar to this one, based on the description, you'd expect the story to go in a certain way.
Well, I'm discovering that this author doesn't do anything the "regular" way, Sully and Mac are totally unexpected men, and I'd love nothing more than to find them for myself.
Each of them has a background history that's a little too close to Clarisse's situation, which leaves them emotionally invested.
They have a Master/slave relationship, and are involved in sadomasochism, with Sully being the sadist, and Mac the masochist.
For obvious reasons, their private life is their own, but with Clarisse now living with them, they had to inform her of it.

Here is where many authors might've taken the easy route, and quickly had Clarisse joining in with Sully and Mac, and everything moving along all hunkydory.
However, this author took it down the road less traveled, Nothing between these three happened quickly, and nothing was easy, Clarisse asked a lot of questions, particularly of Mac, trying to understand his submission, and how he could be happy to be Sully's slave.
Even a month after living with them and getting to know them, Clarisse was still nervous around Sully simply because he was a cop.
And, when Sully and Mac bring up a polyamorous relationship with Clarisse, including the fact they both love her, Sully makes it very plain that there would be no sex between them until Clarisse trusted him, loved him, and married him.
Definitely not your run of the mill plot, huh

Wow! Beyond real, how much I loved this book.
This is now my second book by the author, and, again, I'm stunned by her writing and her storytelling.
There was some predictability, in terms of Clarisse's ex, but even there, the author did a great job with the excitement.
An excellent read that I can so easily recommend, In fact, I vote it as a mustread,
